Sad to post this but one of my favorite fast food places has hit bottom! It has been over a year since I visited this location having had a great experience in the past. This time however there were enough issues to keep me from coming back again. The food preparation was sloppy to a point of ruining the flavor profile of the food. The food didn't even look appealing as it used to. What's worse I past by McDonald's, Arby's and Burger King because I wanted chili with my meal (only Wendy's offers this option to help round out the usual burger and fry routine) and it was not even eatable. The server, I hate to say I believed was the shift manager, made a poor decision. When I asked for the chili she should have told me they were out of it. It was dinner hour and no excuse for not having fresh but instead scraped the bottom of the batch dredging up the overcooked left over where all the beans accumulated for a pasty burnt bean laden mess. We were in a hurry to make a meeting and knew by the look of things complaining wouldn't have saved the meal. We ate what we could and left only to take this store off of our fast food alternative list. In the end I don't think it was the food quality but simply the lack of care in the work required to make for a good experience. I feel for the owner and executive management. This is a wide spread issue affecting a lot of places employing lower paid staff. It's difficult at best to engender esprit decorum to the younger generation these days. A job like this should be a stepping stone on a resume for one climbing the ladder of employment for a better job over time. Even if a current employer can't appreciate a well done job the next one will if you really apply yourself. I'm seeing to much of younger workers just show up to punch the time clock to get paid with hardly any concern for the customer or employer with no real vision for how or why this matters to them. I'm an employer too and it breaks my heart to see the results. In the end it will be how this store is able to hire, train and incentivize its workers to produce a great product and hopefully put more good employees in the...
Read moreOrdered the #4 with chili cheese fries. When ordering, I clarified fries vs tots. They rang up an additional chili cheese fry. When they handed us the bag we were confused, looked at the receipt and realized what happened. The punk kid at the window didn't offer any kind of resolution..."that's the way it was rang up"... okay, but that's not what I said. I did not say "an extra chili cheese fry", or "add a chili cheese fry". Anyway, we were just going to let it go because he had absolutely no interest in fixing the issue. He brought us the rest of our food and said "sorry about that"... to which I responded with "if you were sorry you would do something about it", because there is no reason for me to pay for something I didn't ask for, but because "that's the way it was rung up". He copped an attitude, repeated himself, and said "I'm not a manager, there's nothing I can do about it". Anyway. We "had to give the fries back" to get our $4 back (no problem), but I just felt like the whole interaction was handled very poorly, and that they made it a bigger issue. I'm not sure if they didn't want to admit they screwed up, or it was just laziness. It was unbelievable but comical at the same time. When you order, be careful when you CLARIFY something, because that for some reason confuses these...
Read moreThis was my first food order as I drove thru last Dec for a seasonal milkshake (which was not offered this year). We went inside to place the order - The order was not read back to me & I only ordered 1 Tot & was not informed that if I use my credit card I would be charged a service fee nor was it posted at/on the register because I would have paid cash to avoid it. Also, when we got home to eat our food there were some chicken sandwiches made good enough & the others were terrible same thing with the burgers. I was disappointed in the presentation which makes me not want to go back.
Now, I didn't want to blast this on social media and decided that it would be best to let Krystal’s know through their customer service page. HOWEVER, after two attempts to contact them with a reference number for my complaints, no one has contacted me back which has made me post this on a public review board.
UPDATE: The reply Krystal's posted here has a phone number that is DISCONNECTED & the link is the same one I already used TWICE for the same issue (Entry ID # 106183 Dated 12/15/22 & 108610 Dated 1/19/23) with no response from them even though it states they will reply...
