My husband and I stopped by here for a late breakfast on a Friday. The atmosphere which we were greeted by was lovely, warm, and welcoming! The two sweet staff people were very friendly and helpful in answering our questions about the menu. The drinks were delicious! We got two iced lattes and the One Last Orange drink. (Definitely recommend trying it). The food was also really good, with the only exception being small portions on the fiesta egg bowl. Refer to the picture. If you're very hungry, you're better off ordering one of the sandwiches, which are very flavorful and filling.

My husband and I both agreed, this is one of the best coffees we’ve ever had! And that’s saying something as we are big coffee people. I got the coconut mocha and he got the blackberry bramble- both were delicious. I will be dreaming of this latte until our next trip to Cape Charles!

Good coffee, beautiful Not Neutral glassware and mugs, and the açai bowl was delicious and filling. This little gem has definitely enhanced our stay at the Hotel Cape Charles.

Unfortunately I cannot speak on the food because we never received it after waiting 50 minutes for an order we were told would take 25 minutes. I rarely leave a bad review because I try to take into consideration the lack of staff and other factors but the service my husband and I received today was really gross. Before even given them our order I asked for the wait time on a to go order because there were so many people there. The young man with the silver cross chain informed us it would be 25 minutes on a breakfast sandwich and one of their breakfast entrees. After 30 minutes of waiting and noticing people after us receiving their orders my husband checked to make sure ours was not just waiting on the counter but it wasn’t. Now at 40 minutes after we ordered togo, I asked this same kid how much long would it be because it has been 20 minutes passed what we were told and he goes back to the kitchen and says it will be another 5 minutes. 10 minutes later (we are now at 50 minutes) someone from the kitchen brings out an order for someone who ordered like 10 minutes ago. I ask this same kid why have been waiting for now almost an hour for our food and he goes back to the kitchen and tells us it will be 10 more minutes and he “ doesn’t run the kitchen and has no control over the food back there” in the most arrogant attitude. I ask for a refund, and tells me a wait and proceeds to ignore me. This whole time the “manager” is behind him and can hear what’s going on but says absolutely nothing. Haven’t received and apology from either of them. I ask if that is the manager and he says yeah but she proceeds to come over, trying to give me the refund without saying a single word to me that at one point I ask her if she can just acknowledge that I am standing in front of her. I got me refund but had to ask for a printed receipt to make sure this refund goes through. Never at any point did any employee acknowledge the long wait or apologized. As a small business owner myself, I could never imagine having a business still if that is how I treated our customers when there was an issue. If someone would have just communicated and gave us an apology I would have been understanding but there wasn’t even an acknowledgment that I was a human standing in front of them. The only terrible experience we had while visiting the area the whole weekend. If they are short staffed or not prepared to be busy on a Sunday morning, then they should have a plan in place for pausing food orders when the kitchen and staffed are...

Negative stars need to be a thing. Never ate any food. It didn’t look good. The service was terrible. The lady at the counter short girl with brown hair (bowl cut bangs) wire rimmed glasses, was very curt. I handed her a $10 bill. For a 3.50 cup of coffee. She handed me a dollar and 50 cents back. When I told her I handed her a 10 she snapped back that it was only a five. I said no ma’am. It was a 10. She said sorry it was a five. I asked her to check her drawer. She huffed and jerked the drawer open which was under the counter out of sight. She said nope I only have one ten here and it was already here when I opened. I’m at a point where it’s not worth the hassle to deal with people like this. It’s 7.50 lost. But beware. I’d...
