We used to absolutely love this place but had the worst experience tonight. Took our daughter here for her birthday, and everything seemed fine - for about the first 45 minutes. Then we waited for over an hour for food. We were already three rounds of drinks in, and the restaurant was starting to clear out, so I sent my husband in to ask if our food would ever arrive or if we should cash out. They immediately brought out our food, and the sauces on it had completely solidified. It was legitimately disgusting to eat. The manager walked by about four times to stare at us because we had complained but never stopped by to talk. The waitress acted terrified to come to our table and was sending other women out instead. I told one to tell her it was okay and she came out and told me to watch the Snickers commercial about how no one is themselves when they are hungry, like it's somehow my fault that I want to eat at a restaurant in something less than two hours. $200 later, and all I can say is I will happily tell everyone to never eat at this place again. Hardest of hard passes on so many levels. About a million better places to patronize in this...
Read moreAwful lunch experience with waitress Olivia. She was pleasant at first but everything quickly went downhill. I came in on my lunch break and expressed that I was in a time crunch, could I please order my next batch of sushi before I finished my first. I understand there are rules but she didn't even offer to check with management. About halfway through eating I asked her to come back in one minute at which point she smartly remarked "are you going to be done in a minute?". Which yes, I was, and no she didn't come back in a minute. After placing our next order we had to go inside and ask for water refills from the manager and our dirty plates still sat on our table. When she came out to refill our drinks we both thanked her and got the cold shoulder which I found extremely rude. Good service is paramount to any business. If your wage depends on tips I would at least expect a simple "you're welcome" or any kind of acknowledgement in return. We were also never asked if the meal was going okay. Overall this was a terrible experience at what is marketed to be a "social, fun, eclectic" experience, instead it felt more like we...
Read moreSuper disappointed...my fiancé and I frequent blu on McGregor for the delicious and creative rolls as well as our favorite server Leia. We stopped in last night for dinner and waited inside to ask the hostess for a table behind another party doing the same. When I got to the front I was greeted by “yes?” and when I asked for a table for two she said “it’s a 20 minute wait” we said no problem and asked if we could wait outside to which she replied “no one is going to be serving you for 20 minutes but sure”. Once outside we were “greeted” by who I assume was a manager, bussing tables. He said “it’s a 45 minute wait!” I told him we had been told twenty and would wait outside, he told us we could if we wanted to but said “we’re really slammed, I have 3 chefs working as fast as they can, I guess you can wait if you want to”. It was apparent that no one working could handle the “rush”(the restaurant was maybe half full). We go to blu maybe 2 or three times a month but might rethink that now. I guess if you’re going to go make sure they are in...
