What do you say about finding the hidden gem of restaurants ? How about Blanc. There you are. Wow. What an experience in culinary taste from our host Bobby and server Anne-Marie we made to feel comfortable and welcomed. Then the food started coming and wow. We felt we were in another world. Not even kidding. Going out to eat became and the experience our senses were not expecting. From our French onion soup to the surf and turf platter and the pork chop. Lol. So bland the names because they don't do them justice. Words cannot express how flavourful the food is Finally the people that take care of you... they just make everything perfect. Thank you Anne-Marie and Bobby and everyone else. Oh not to mention chef and co-owner will play the saxaphone while you eat when he has the chance. Awesome ;) Just adding to the previous review. We went for a second dinner the very next night and again. Perfect perfect perfect. Everyone again were absolutely great and the food was outstanding had a veal chop tonight along with a petite filet. Og and the risotto. God the risotto. I suggest to call ahead and reserve your spot. Word is getting around that this is the place to eat. Thank you again Anne-Marie for your care in looking after us. We sincerely appreciate everything.

We were first time Blanc visitors seeking a more refined dining experience. Eva welcomed us and offered us a choice of table. The space is intimate, with contemporary white surfaces, tables close, and the energy of its open kitchen. Conversation is easy. The menu is focused with a list of indulgent appetizers and entrees that make for that special night out. Eva's service was very attentive. We opened with champagne then enjoyed our Caesar salads. The filet mignon, lamb chops, prawn upgrade, delicious sides of truffle mash and haricot verts were cooked to perfection. A presentation on a cutting board was an exciting surprise. Red wines by the glass accompanied our meal. We split a chocolate mousse dessert and followed with espressos. We referenced Florida's Golden Spoon and reviews here on Google and Open Table and found all aligned. Reservations were easy using OpenTable. Parking was available though we noted the commercial center is a busy one with a number of popular restaurants.

First time in Ft Myers and Blanc was recommended to us. Did NOT disappoint!!! Our server Josh was great and the food was fantastic. We split the Ahi Tuna cones (like ceviche in a crispy wonton cone) and it was fresh and flavorful. Upon recommendation, the French Onion Soup was a must try. And it was the BEST I have had. I could of gone swimming in their French Onion. It wasn't overly salty like some can be, and the cheese was stringy and soft. I chose the salmon as my entree and after the amazing app and soup, could not even finish it. A huge salmon filet sat on top of asparagus and green beans, a big lump of garlic mashed potatoes with parm shreds on top.... And then finished off with an orange hollindaise. It was not overly citrus, but creamy and just rich enough to balance the meal. My friend had the filet with demi glace and said it was melt-in-your-mouth amazing. The restaurant us small with an open air kitchen. Def need reservations!

I know everyone is giving them rave reviews and the food was delicious.

However... I was sitting at the counter area and an air vent was pointed straight at my seat, I was freezing on one side and hot on the other. That really wasn't a huge deal because if they were less busy, we could have found another spot. Just poor design, maybe tilting the vent would be nice.

The waiter was difficult to get back to the table at a reasonable time because when my food came out, only part of it was warm. I actually leaned back and waived my arms because it was taking so long to get his attention. Even though it was delicious, the cartoonishly small sorbet sized scoop of potatoes and 2 mini squash/carrots hardly is a side of vegetables. Since the veggies are usually my favorite part, this was beyond disappointing. The veggies were more like decorations than anything else. Delicious decorations but barely a bite or two plated.

Where we were sitting at the counter, we could see a dark haired woman in her 50-60s that was helping prep the food with bare hands, not a huge deal but I also watched her scratching her head, handling money and enjoying some nibbles herself. When I saw her scratching her chin/neck area and then standing the triangle of cheese or bread onto the plate for presentation, I was done eating. One of the other waitresses was also enjoying some nibbles when she would step back near the food prep/kitchen area.

Disappointing because the food really was outstanding but I simply cannot get over the way the food...

Blanc - the good and the not so good. The restaurant is small and tight. Don’t expect privacy; but that does not detract. No liquor is served except beer and wine. Wine selection is okay, we each had a single glass. It’s not the restaurant’s focus. Service was professional, friendly, and excellent. We appreciated food coming as ready, delivered by whichever server was closest to the kitchen. Great cooperation and coordination of staff. The starters: escargot (perfect blend of butter, garlic, parmesano, and parsley) with dry toast rounds to dip. The toasted candied pecan and blue cheese mixed green salad had crisp greens but the lightly applied vinaigrette dressing was a little sour. The blue cheese crumbles were sparsely applied and of the pre made variety (tasteless). I’d give the salad two stars and suggest to Blanc - you can do better. Similarly so with the generous portion of nicely cooked Barramundi. You drowned the entire entré in olive oil and pesto. Was the risotto “gummy”(?). Who would know! The beautiful Veal Chop with rich and savory mushroom sauce was fabulous, a perfect M/MR! Five stars! The decorative vegetable garnish (four blanched green beans, a cherry tomato, two small pea pods, and a nicely carved slice of yellow zucchini) made for an attractive wooden platter presentation; but the herbed mushroom risotto was a little “gummy” for an early evening reservation. For two without desert the tariff was $162.00 for...

Do NOT Waste Your Time or Money... Without Jean Claude and Lori... BLANC is no longer Amazing... It is Absolutely Awful now and I am so sad!! Last night was the first time we have been to BLANC since Jean Claude and Lori retired and it will be our last time... It was Absolutely Horrific! I had the most flavorless escargot I've ever had in my life as our appetizer, then I moved onto the lambchops that I ordered medium rare and they arrived WELL done!! The first time I have EVER had to send food back since we started going to Blanc 3 year's ago... The Lambchops then arrived back to me RAW!! You read that correctly... They were Raw... They were honestly cold to the touch!! I felt so bad for our server because he was horrifed by the experience that we were going through. Of course he offered me everything under the sun to make up for it but it was at that point that I had decided not to eat anything that came out of that kitchen ever again! I was beyond sad... Blanc was one of our all-time favorite restaurants and now we won't ever return! I also want to mention that to top off our horrific experience they now charge you $40 instead of $25 to Un-cork your bottle of wine...which is beyond ridiculous! To give you some insight The below review was my review of Blanc 3 year's ago...

This Place is Absolutely Amazing!! The Staff.... The Food.... And Service was Absolutely...
