The entire experience was fantastic! We enjoyed a late Saturday lunch (7/24/21 - around 2pm) after a long work week. We have been meaning to try this place for so long and we're so happy we did. We live blocks from this district and we've been trying to visit new places on the block each time to find the gems. This is one of them!
Parking is a little confusing and seems to be in short supply, but since we weren't there at a super busy time, we found a shaded spot on the street a half block away, off to the side of the building. We didn't mind the short walk as the neighborhood is rather adorable. When we arrived, we took our seats at the bar, which was open concept with the rest of the restaurant and had plenty of open seating available.
We were greeted with a friendly smile immediately and given menus as soon as we settled in our seats. Our drink order was taken right away (glass of Pinot grigio, water, and coke) - the gal working was so fast and friendly! Everything on the menu looked so yummy, but we decided on an order of hand cut fries, grilled cheese with a cup of tomato soup & the pork chop. Oh my god. The grilled cheese was super cheesy with extra crispy bread and the pork chop was juicy, seasoned & grilled wonderfully and large and in charge! We over ordered by getting the fries, but they were so good with the large granulated salt that we finished them too.
We cannot wait to come back! Thanks for an awesome and relacing lunch - this...
Read moreI had dinner at Cork Soakers Deck & Wine Bar on September 16, 2023, with a group of friends. Can I tell you the menu looks delicious? Now, I have had celiac disease and a soy allergy for 15 years and eating out is tough. So, I called the restaurant to find out what I could eat. And I spoke to Bob, the owner who was awesome! Unfortunately, I could not have anything cooked in the fryer or food that contained mayonnaise. And of course, that meant that the risotto and the eggs diablo are out! BUT they use Udi’s gluten free bread which was a plus for me. Also, I could have steamed vegetables, salmon, and filet mignon. I ordered the Bacchus board which was good. I am not sure about the jams, but I enjoyed the cheese and meats. As for my friends, they devoured the coconut shrimp and buffalo chicken wings. For dinner I had gluten free pasta topped with grilled salmon. That is right! It is not on the menu! I know right! Yes, Bob, went out and bought me gluten free pasta! My meal was delicious. And my friends got prime rib which they raved about. A big shout out to the staff and Chef! They were attentive and provided quality service! We had a fun time, and the food was excellent. Thank you, Bob, for taking care of my gluten and soy dietary...
Read moreMy experience here was far from good. I have never been so disappointed in service! First, I am not a picky customer and I always give credit where credit is due. I have the utmost respect for business owners and servers. Unfortunately, I cannot say one good thing about this place. I ordered the tomato salad the tomatoes were not ripe so I was not able to enjoy it. I told the server and she smirked sarcastically said sorry and acted as if I was trying to get something for free. I was not offered anything else. My husband made a comment about his meal and the servers snapped at him saying that he "ate it" HE MADE A COMMENT NOT A COMPLAINT. When my bill came I politely asked for it to be taken off. I was told "I already let the manager know this table would be a problem and the plates were cleared so.." When the manage/owner Mr. Mulroy came to our table he had a terrible attitude raised his voice so loud that the tables outside watched the show. He proceeded to tell me he would not argue with me that he did not "grow the tomatoes" In my opinion, he was the most unprofessional manager I have ever seen and I would not have given this place any stars if it let me. Please let me add I had family in from out of town that had to witness this, extremely...
