This is a review for a first time customer of East of Chicago pizza in South Cape Coral. This is basically a location for order out although there are a few tables if you want to dine in. The service was very friendly. I am originally from the western suburbs of the Chicago land area. Whenever I see a Chicago style pizza place in the Fort Myers area it is very exciting. Everything here revolves around NY style pizza. Anyway, it was encouraging to see a Chicago pizza that is in the style of a Lou Malnati's deep dish. Not available here except for the Buddyz's (now called Baked) that is in the Forum off Colonial. What is typically different is availability of the Lou Malnati's butter crust in these deep dish pizzas. At East of Chicago pizza I ordered the Chicago Deep Dish with sausage. The only size is a 12" which was perfect. The pizza is in the Lou Malnati's style with the same crust size, cheese and sausage on the bottom and sauce on the top. The sausage is real Italian sausage. Could have been a little more, but not really an issue. The crust was as close as I have had to the butter crust from Lou's. I am now excited to try the thin crust since this is something that is not easy to get here. A true thin crust cut in squares with real Italian sausage . Will review once we order it.
We will certainly be repeat customers for the...
Read moreWent to the one in down town Cape Coral. Person working there could not get any of the orders right and had to remake orders the whole time we ate there. My order was not made correctly and neither was the next three orders after me. She was by herself so I am sorry she don’t have help. Plus the food was not that great either. We had the pizza fold over which had no cheese in it. The buffalo salad was bland. And the additional topping I asked for and paid were missing. The place is really small to sit in there to eat. No music no silver ware. Came tried but not worth the...
