i’ve never left a one star especially to somewhere i go frequently. This is long because I want yall to understand fully what i experienced. I usually get served at the bar by the nicest and sweetest girl Kat. She always is respectful and personable the 3 times she has served me. I CAN NOT SAY THE SAME FOR THE OTHER BARTENDER AT ALL! It’s been 12+ hours since i was there and the negative energy that the Bartender Mesha had with me is still lingering. I am appalled by her attitude and service. My best friend and I went in for a happy hour yesterday between 5-6ish and immediately we were shortly ‘greeted’ by the bartender Mesha, she immediately asked to see our ids which i completely understand however the ONLY other people were 2 families at the bar.. no worries life goes on except for the absolute glare she gave me after i gave her my id, (i’m 23 btw) which i completely was thrown off by. She then asked what we wanted, we asked for a little more time and she threw her hands up in surrender and backed away. She gave us a long 6 minutes to really decide until she came back. My friend and i usually start with a water or tea before we start drinking alcohol, so my friend orders a tea with lemon and nachos and asks to hold onto the drink menu since we aren’t ready for a drink. she said nothing then POINTED at me. I responded ‘ill start with a water with lemon for now but ill-‘ and she walked away. if i finished my sentence i was saying that ill start now with a water and then ill get a happy hour drink bc the blackberry lemonade looked great, BUT NOPE, she walked away. i’m in the service industry and i understand you want to be quick but i didnt even finish my sentence. Also, it was pretty slow at the bar so i didnt understand the rush. I tried to shrug it off but i saw her be short with other customers too, including families with children, and i was just so off put. She then brings a tea with no lemon to my friend and doesn’t bring me a water. ok no worries maybe she forgot, we don’t see her for another 10 minutes and then my friends nachos come out. she then walks by quick and POINTS ONCE AGAIN NO WORDS to the nachos and gives a thumbs up for confirmation. my friend thumbs up and i start to ask for a water and she bolts, literally fast, walks away. Now i’m starting to feel even worse and sad because i usually have such an amazing time and now i can’t even order a simple water with lemon. She comes by and i try to flag her down and ask for water again to which she shrugs off. She then proceeds to get in a very loud and expressive conversation with another bartender i don’t recognize. i’m so confused did i do something? why am i being discriminated as an H2O drinker? like??? i understand she thinks she’ll make no money off me but if she would have just given me more than 5 seconds, i would have ordered more. i was so turned off between never getting a water, the glares, the shortness and wanted to speak to a manager but my friend never wants issues she she just paid, tipped, and we left. i’m heartbroken and so sad that yall would even hire/keep someone who can’t even deliver a water or even SPEAK to me. I really hope you take my words seriously and im happy to speak further on this matter because I love Dave and Busters and the amazing service that Kat the bartender has previously given me. Hire people that actually acknowledge customers and can...
Read moreWhat a fascinatingly bad experience my wife and I had here! Started off with drinks, I ordered a sweetened iced tea. Our server dropped off the drinks, then I realized it was unsweetened iced tea (more on this later).
When the server came back, he took our order. We got 2 apps (cheese dip & pickle chips), and 2 sandwiches (she upcharged her fries to truffle fries). We had a very thorough conversation with the server that our son was at a party that would last a couple hours, we were in no hurry, please space out the meal. We all agreed that the server wouldn't even place the order for the sandwiches until we were done eating both apps. I let him know about getting the wrong drink, and he went off to fix it.
A second server stopped by eventually, saying "SWEET TEA", dropping off the drink, and scurrying off. It was unsweetened.
A third server stops by to drop off one of the apps, the cheese dip. I explain that I'm still waiting on a sweet tea, we can't find our server. The third server gets my sweet tea in about 15 seconds, slams it down on the table, and rushes out without a word.
So the cheese dip was pretty good, but before we can even finish it between two hungry people, the sandwiches and 2nd appetizer all come out at once. What happened to the agreement to not even place the sandwich order until we had eaten BOTH apps?
The truffle fries were ice cold. My wife sent them back, explaining that they were cold and didn't taste good. The server took the basket and disappeared, didn't ask if she wanted something else. A while later, I was able to stop him and explain that my wife didn't just want to lose half of her meal, she just didn't want the gross truffle fries for an upcharge.
So he goes to the kitchen and comes back with..... A BOWL OF TRUFFLE FRIES. I'm not saying "another" bowl, this second time the fries were "made" and delivered in about 90 seconds. It was obviously the bowl that was sent back. Once we could flag down the server AGAIN (he liked to drop and run), we sent back the same fries for the second time, and the server went to get the regular fries that are supposed to come with her $17 sandwich. When the regular fries came out, I said, "honey, that looks really small". She poured the bowl of reg fries onto her plate, the serving size was about 25% of what I got with my sandwich.
My teenager loves spending time at Dave and Busters. Too bad I never want to go to this...
Read moreIt was not the best experience. It seems Dave and busters is an, every other time is good, situation.
Every other time we have come it’s been great. Those few, in between experiences though. Smdh
Let’s start with the server (she seemed inexperienced) we had a 50 oz shareable draft which sat at the bar for a while before we flagged down a manager to get it for us. Then an app I ordered as a meal (out with entrees) came out thirty minutes before the rest of my families food. My husband ordered ribs and wanted Brussels sprouts instead of coleslaw. When the food came he said to the waitress I ordered Brussels sprouts. She didn’t seem concerned as she went the opposite direction and took some time making her way toward the kitchen. When she came the first time with Brussels sprouts she had a 2 oz ramekin with 2 Brussels sprouts halved, still raw with a slight char on one side no parmesan cheese . It was funny actually. Another twenty minutes goes by. The manager and waitress both obviously avoiding the situation. Finally he comes by again and says “we have those being made correctly for you” then brings out a huge bag with small Togo box of Brussel sprouts and the bag was stapled shut 4 times. They were still undercooked.
Situations could have been avoided if the food all came out at once. The server didn’t do her job and it caused a trickle down into the kitchen who had to make up for her negligence.
She got tipped well. Regardless.
Even though we are members of their reward program. The 50% off deal for April means 50% off good service too.
Establishment was far too slow for the problems we had . I can see why they are constantly hiring staff in every area.
(Weird, I’ve served over 20 years and Dave and busters said “we’re sorry we don’t feel you’d be a good fit” when I applied to join their team, after having a really good experience.) I guess they only hire incompetent oafs. Really glad that...
