The events sure are fun, and so is the food. However, there remains an element of sadness that keeps the old timers away, myself included. Tammy who used to work here when it was cb2 lives in Indonesia now and has no plans of ever crossing the International Date Line again, let alone setting foot on continental North, Central, or South America, including Florida, again. Bethany who used to work here when it was Caloosahatchee Jack's is moving shortly to Los Angeles, California, and she is shoving everyone away that she knows she won't ever see in California. Melissa who used to work here when it was Caloosahatchee Jacks and also when it was Cb2 is last known living in the Pacific Northwest. Jami who used to work here when it was CB2 also moved, to Washington State. And there are long distance friends that have not seen one another in over 55 years. Colleen who used to work here when it was Caloosahatchee Jack's works at an office job now, and I am sure she still denies the illegality of visiting someone at work at an office even if she saw that article on Fort Myers Patch about that guy in Texas that visited a friend at work at an office in Downtown Dallas and got sentenced to 135 years in prison because his visit was not business related.
At the same time the events at El Estadio are fun, going here for the old timers is about like visiting a cemetery due to all the old time bartenders (Tammy, Bethany, Melissa, Jami, and so forth) that won't make it back to visit before...

Even after I said I wasn’t going back. I met up with some friends for dinner. My food just came out (food did taste good) but within minutes I got a call about a tragic accident and had to cash out. I was charged $95.54 more than my receipt. This is a very busy place so they probably do it to multiple people because it’s literally bunch of men who come to party.
EDIT: This restaurant credited my money back.
I’ve been here three times for drinks as it’s in my neighborhood. It’s now a Spanish sports bar. The girls in the inside bar speak English and are very friendly. Yari Yari at the outside bar is stuck up. Doesn’t even attempt to serve anyone who doesn’t speak English. The guys I was hanging out with said she doesn’t speak English. She literally gave me the bill and said “who’s paying this” she chooses who not to speak to. Third time there she wouldn’t even acknowledge me on the patio. I had to ask one of the dudes to order me a drink. Another white woman sitting at the bar mentioned her interaction with her as well. We love hanging outdoors and having a drink. I won’t be...
Read moreThe food and service was fairly good, but those reviewers Brick and Doe couldn't be more correct, the place is definitely nothing but strangers now. Even John that used to go here a lot when it was CB2 and Jack's doesn't seem to go here anymore. Andrea Martin who used to go here often recently moved to Greece in SE Europe and has absolutely no plans of setting foot in the Western Hemisphere, let alone SW Florida, before the year 2150. Christina that used to go here frequently now lives in Italy and also has no plans of ever again entering the Western Hemisphere.
The food and service may be okay, but the place, no doubt, is nothing but strangers and endless, impenetrable ice, where one feels...
