Was asked to review a pizza parlor in the town I live in. When I went to the location the sign was covered by a new name “(Luciano’s Too)” and said coming soon on the door. Unfortunately the doors closed before I had a chance to review the place. So I looked up the name to see if the other location to the new owners was open. Just so happens it was open. It was busy as can be for a normal Monday night rush in the area. When I walked in I noticed the smell in the air of cheese and a dough I haven’t smelled since I left my home state of NJ. I immediately ordered a large pie plain. Also had to get a head start so I ordered two pepperoni slices to eat while I waited for my pizza to cook. Man let me tell you!!! I was immediately immersed in the flavors of flashbacks to Stella’s Poppa Pizza of Keansburg NJ one of the oldest pizza parlors in the country. It was just a few years ago it closed its doors. Rent became too much for the place and it’s a shame that recipe went down with the place. But here I am one again enjoying this flavor I since lost. Bringing me back to the Monday nights when you could order a five dollar large pizza special. I remember watching 250 delivery’s and god know how many walk ins leave the restaurant on a busy Friday night. During the peak of summer that could jump to about 300 delivery’s. Again here I sit as I realize I’m on the last bite of this delicious slice. Cupped ronis all over it and boy they added more to the flavor. Very crispy crust with a nice golden brown even bottom layer of dough. Cooked to perfection because it seemed this place was about exactly that. When I got home I open the box and saw what you see in the picture. The knots where nice and covered in seared garlic. They where very soft like a pillow. Easy to chew and didn’t make a huge mess. I watched the cashier look over at me with a huge smile and she said how is everything…..I replied to her that I have been waiting years to catch this type of pizza again. They have a pretty decent sized menu and it looks to me it’s all reasonably priced. I really can’t express how good this place is and I want to be able to get good pizza right around the corner from where I live. Please check ‘‘em out when they open in North Fort Myers off Del Prado. They are going to be a big hit. They will have sit in dining as well and a spread of Italian dishes to accommodate. Can’t wait for them to open!!!! Well that’s my review. Pies On everyone and slice out.

Luciano Pizza has been our “Go-To” place for take-out pizza for over (2) years. We have only been mildly disappointed on a couple occasions. We have made numerous Luciano Pizza recommendations to people. But today’s pizza should never have been put in a box. If this had been our first pizza from Luciano Pizza – it would have been our last. The pizza we ordered was a 14” red sauce pizza with; Sausage, Green Pepper, Onion and Mushroom toppings. (Refer to photo for how much topping we got for $5.00) Normally, we are very satisfied with the quantity and quality of toppings, but this Pizza had significantly less toping and the sausage was hardly worth noting. In addition, the sausage that did make to the pizza was of poor quality, long, paper-thin slices. And (2) slices didn’t even have any sausage topping. Maybe Luciano’s was running low on toppings late-day Sunday or maybe someone making the pizzas just didn’t care or maybe whoever made the pizza didn’t know how to build a Luciano pizza. Whatever the reason for selling us a poorly made pizza; we will purchase our next pizza from Luciano’s but, if it’s like the one we just had – it will be our last Luciano Pizza.

I’ve been trying all of the pizza places in the area, trying to find the best. Without ranking this among all the places I’ve tried, I will say that this is the current front runner. We ordered a Large Plain pie, large sicilian pie with sausage and ham, and a chicken parm sandwich. Plain pie was on point. Literally my favorite so far in the cape (see my other reviews for comparison). Sauce was good, cheese was good and the crust was the perfect texture. I’m kind of an extra sauce kind of person, but this was sauced appropriately for normal people. Sicilian was thick and tasty. Definitely a heavier pie compared to the round, but really good. The sausage and ham were really good actually. Chicken parm sandwich was good. Nothing special in my honest opinion, but it was still good. It could use some upgrades. Overall, this is my favorite place so far. I will definitely go here again.

Took a chance on Luciano's for a treat for my 5y/o grand daughter's birthday gift and it paid off big time. I couldn't be with her as I live 1500 miles away, couldn't think of what to send her which would be special enough, but wanted something memorable. I grew up between New Haven, CT. and NYC, two cities with the world's best pizza and Italian cuisine imho, and since moving to Dixie, I found few establishments in the South can build a perfect and delicious pizza, so, since 2013 I decided I was tired of spending big $ for subpar pies. I started making my own using all the best ingredients from Caputo 00 pizza flours, LaSafre Instant red yeast, fresh clean water and Kosher salt. I grew my own San Marzano tomatoes in rich soil and out of season I used the best D.O.T. certified canned tomatoes from Italy. I use imported Italian EVOO and through trial and error learned the skills to make the perfect homemade pizzas with and without toppings. When I visit my girls and grandkids in South Florida during Christmas, it's become tradition for my grand daughter and I to make our own pizza dough and apizza. So this popped into my head to order her pizzas and cannoli's from afar, but WHO would I call to arrange delivery? And would the pizza and service be worthy of my little special sous chef grand daughter? Would their advertisments of being authentic NY style pizza be reality, or a let down as has too often been the case and a big let down? After extensive internet searches and reading countless reviews, Luciano's stood out, and they are just minutes away from my daughter and her family. I called them to place my order 3 hours BEFORE my requested delivery time to my daughter's residence. First impressions with the gal on the phone... 5 stars! Very friendly and happliy took my order. But, I was still somewhat worried... would they forget my order 3 hrs later? Would the pizzas be good enough and delicious for my beautiful grand daughter? Would it be enough to fill the bellies of 5 adults and two children? Would they arrive as requested on time? Would the pies be cold or too oily? Would their delivery employee be presentable and polite? I ordered Luciano's Extra large NY Style pizza, a large Pepperoni, and 4 fresh Cannoli. Here's the outcome... Aces! Tops! A-number 1! 5 stars across the board! My grand daughter's eyes lit up not just because of the surprise, but especially the size of the extra lg pizza, it was almost as big as her. Slices were enormous. My daughter and whole family RAVED RAVED and RAVED about how delicious everything was, how big the pizzas were. Pizzas were hot, baked just right, arrived exactly when promised, delivery guy was presentable and friendly. I had included a 20% tip on my card ahead of time, but he deserved it. Amount I ordered was more than enough. My daughter said they will absolutely order from Luciano's from now on. No more large pizza chains now that they've had the real deal. This sounds like an inside review, I assure you it's not. This review is as authentic as is Luciano's! I can't offer rating on atmosphere as we've never visited there, but we plan to soon. Great job Luciano's, and thank you for making my gift to my grand...

Unfortunately, there is an employee working here who decided after I paid for my pizza order over the phone…… to then use my credit card information to spend $900 online. I received a text from Capital One that there was suspicious activity on my account a couple hours after I ordered the pizza. I reviewed the two new charges and immediately shut my CC down because I absolutely did not make those charges, and the only time I have given out my credit card number was to order the pizza. It is crystal clear what happened.….. I met with an officer this morning to go over all the facts, and there is no doubt with them that is exactly what happened so they created a fraud case. Whether or not they can prove who did it is another story.

I went to the location in person today to let them know politely what had happened, and that a police report was filed. Unfortunately, the female manager had only the opinion it was impossible for that to have happened. She was not rude, but questioned my own ability to know what I had authorized on my CC. As she was telling me there was no way for an employee to have a copy of my credit card information (which I gave them over the phone)….. I noticed scraps of paper, paper plates, pens, right in front of the register. I guess all their pens don’t work. I doubt there will be any follow up on their end. But I certainly won’t ever order pizza from them again

UPDATE: I have now been rudely called by the same manager informing me my review is “disturbing”, and felt the need to tell me how inappropriate it was to leave my written experience on Google. As she rudely continued to inform me of her personal feelings of how I should not have had the nerve to leave this review….. I had to hang up on her. Before that I told her I’d be happy to update it once the police can finalize their investigation and find that this fraud did not happen with their employee. Until then, based on the facts, I am leaving this up and will let others make their own...
