Captain D's — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

This place used to be really good, but in the course of a year it went downhill fast. And I’ve given them more chances to see if maybe it was an off day etc . One order the shrimp skewer was like jerky and inedible and the broccoli was ice cold. Another time the fries were cold and tasted old and the batter in the hush puppies was not cooked and was partly raw( this happened a few times) And the fish just wasn’t good like it was before. And this final time the fries didn’t taste fresh. The hush puppies were , again were partly raw. And I hoped because the fried fish ( I ordered the regular white fish)was hot that it would save the dish. I bit into it and It was overwhelmingly fishy, not in the right, good way I spit out into the napkin they did provide( kudos for that) one side of the bitten piece was white/ and then the other was kind of brown like it was the mud spot of the fish or something. The smell was similar to cat fish bait. I offered the rest to my cats and they weren’t interested for long. I’m so disappointed that it’s come to this for Captain Ds. I used to love it. First visit to food chain entirely and I am having to wait till the following day around noon because they didn’t have what I ordered and since I ordered through google straight of of the captain ds website they wouldn’t/couldn’t refund my order they did offer other food however I don’t like chicken and I don’t like fish in general the only fish I eat is salmon and that’s when I’m craving it so I gave you a chance on it idek if the food is worth making 2 trips for because I e not ever even been to captain ds till this order and the only option I have for help with my order is to call the store for questions. I still want a refund and at this point I’m not hungry for salmon or my shrimp I don’t understand why it’s all up to me to make sure my order is available and then they didn’t even contact me to let me know it’s not available I have to drive 2x to get 1 meal that I tbh do t even want anymore cause atp I’d rather just have a burger but you only do fish an chicken apparently. My mom and I tried Captain D's at your Cape Girardeau Mo location for the first time today (12/26/23) and our experience was horrible. We split the 4 pc chicken tenders meal and the chicken tasted awful. Chicken was hot but it did not taste good. The only thing that tasted good was the fries. We also had very poor and slow service. We sat at the drive thru for about 10 mins. My mom also ordered coleslaw for the other side and when she got her ticket it said okra and they charge 99 cents extra for okra. I was the one that caught it on the ticket and when I told my mom about it she brought it to their attention and they were kinda of rude about it and said we corrected it but they didn't want to give her her dollar back and she said shouldn't I get some money back? They didn't say anything when they handed her the dollar but they slammed the drive thru window like a jerk. All the workers that work there had a bad attitude.
