Wendy's — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

This place isn't what it was 25 to 30 years ago, but neither is the workforce. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired, the place is fairly clean, but don't expect EXCELLENT customer service. I ordered a couple of burgers from the app and when I pulled up to the window I was just handed a bag with a "there you go!" So, check your food before leaving the window.

Update: "Not getting any better" Today, I used the App to order 2 Dave's Doubles..... Extra cheese, no pickles or tomatoes. What I got was NO CHEESE, and tomatoes AND pickles. I go to their app to make a complaint, and if course that's not an easy process either. I don't know how these businesses stay in business. When I was a teen (30+ years ago) I worked this very drive through! The customer was always right back then. Today, they're just passing whatever out the window and pray people don't look or care whether they actually get what they order or not! I'll go back because there's no other Wendy's around, but I'll NEVER pull away until my order is 100% correct...... I recommend you do the same. Check...

Total wait time from the time I entered the drive thru line to the time I exited was 45 minutes and there were only about 10 cars total. The cashier at the first window was super friendly as is the only reason I gave a star. Pulled up to the second window to see literally EVERY worker playing around and cussing up a storm...LOUDLY! Waited at that window for 15 minutes to be handed a $5 Biggie Bag and an extra order of fries, but no drink. Had o wait another 5 minutes for that. I live just down the street an when I got home, not only was the food ice cold but the burger from the Biggie Bag was made completely wrong and included items that my child is allergic to. The whole experience was so frustrating that it has taken me this long to post this and I didn't report it to the restaurant for fear of the attitude I might get. It was only an $8 order... I will take my loss and cut the ties. Will never...

Ate here today.. wanted the nostalgia of the place because years ago it was awesome… not so much anymore. The place is filthy. Where do I start.. the floor was so sticky I thought I’d lose my shoes.. the condiment bar had packs of ketchup but they were ALL sticky it was gross. There was no one in the restaurant when we arrived but every table in the dining room was dirty . Another couple came in while we were there .. they ask for the worker to come clean a table .. they were given an excuse by her and she never came to clean their table. It’s very sad to see a restaurant that used to be so good in Cape Girardeau be so horrible now. Dave would be rolling in his grave. I’ll never go back.. the food also wasn’t good and there was a long wait to get it. Later in this review it ask what I spent per person .. it was over $20 for 2 people which I wouldn’t have minded except the food...
