Uncle Charleys Ice Cream — Restaurant in Cape May

Uncle Charlie’s Ice Cream in the Washington St Mall is fantastic. The workers were friendly and patient with us since this is the first time my wife and I have been there. There was a bit of a computer glitch when it came time to pay for the ice cream that we got, and it kind of makes me worried, but the workers handled it all with ease. My wife and I weren’t in a rush so that didn’t matter to us. I got Cannoli Ice Cream in a dish and my wife got soft vanilla ice cream with cherry dip in a cup. Both were fantastic. Since we never went to another ice cream place during our 1st ever stay in Cape May, we can’t say if it was the best ice cream in Cape May, but I’m sure it is close. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised at how good the ice cream was and can’t wait to try another flavor the next time we are...

I would have given one star had it not been for the delicious ice cream. I just wanted two scoops, not too much to ask for. The girl serving told me that was a medium so I asked for a medium. What I received was maybe 5-6 scoops of ice cream. I told her that that wasn't what I asked for and that I can't eat all of this ice cream by myself. She smiled and told me that was a medium and wouldn't fix it for me. I told her I would throw out over half and it was a waste of money and she just smiled and looked at me. I spent $7 on 2 scoops of ice cream because I ended up throwing out half in the garbage outside of the shop. What a waste. From now on I will go elsewhere... It's too bad that the ice cream truly...

We tried Uncle Charlie's today. The ice cream was good but not outstanding. There was 5 of us in my group. My youngest son ordered a strawberry milkshake that literally was on the blender for 30 seconds. It was not blended at all! Very disappointed. My total bill was $76. The staff behind the counter couldn't care less about there jobs or the products they were putting out. There was 4 young men behind the counter but only one was taking care of customers. The other 3 were just watching him work. None of them had manors, no smiles, no personalities which was a big turn off to me after spending almost $80 for ice cream. Didn't even say thank you! From now on I will take my family elsewhere...
