One good option for seafood in Cape May, New Jersey is Cape May Fish Market located on Washington Street. Cape May Fish Market serves delicious, fresh seafood as well as other types of food. They have everything from Whole Lobsters to Char-Grill Burgers. Something for everyone. You can sit either inside or outside. Great Service; Certain Kitchen Staff is Less Than Desirable Let me preface this review by saying that I have never…not once ….sent back any food that I ordered in a restaurant, for any reason. Our family went in hoping for a nice dinner—left totally disappointed. My daughter and I ordered filets, medium rare, which both came out well done and dry. After slicing into them and before the thought even entered my mind to send them both back, our waitress saw them and said, “those steaks are not cooked medium rare. Let me take those back and get you ones that are cooked right.” Politely, I agreed and sent them back, and when the second ones arrived, they were practically raw in the middle, like the cook did it wrong on purpose out of spite. I get that mistakes happen, but this felt intentional and unprofessional. Clearly, whoever’s running the kitchen doesn’t know how to cook a steak—or worse, doesn’t care if patrons could possibly get sick. If I had a meat thermometer (which I didn’t), if my steak read 65-75 degrees in the center, I’d say that would be pretty close to how it felt to the touch. It was cold…not even Blue Rare…cold… The only redeeming part of the night was our waitress, Melissa. She was friendly, attentive, and apologetic, even though it wasn’t her fault. She handled the situation with grace and tried her best to make things right. Unfortunately, great service can’t fix bad food. Not sure if we’ll be back to eat here…definitely won’t be ordering a steak.

A Lunchtime Delight - Fantastic Food, Service, and Seating We recently had the pleasure of dining at an exceptional lunch spot that truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm, friendly service that set the tone for a fantastic meal. The seating arrangements are excellent, offering a variety of options from inside to a spacious tables with a view outside. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to relax or a lively area to enjoy with friends, this place has it all. The ambiance is inviting and comfortable, making it a perfect spot for a midday break. The menu is diverse and packed with delicious options. We opted for the, 50 steamers to start the. For our main dishes we chose the conch fritters and crab wrap, which were perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. What truly stood out was the impeccable service. Kiersten our server was naturally cheerful. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our drinks were always full and our needs met promptly. Their recommendations were spot-on, and they made us feel like valued guests throughout our visit. In summary, this lunch spot is a great spot with fantastic service, nice outdoor seating, and delicious food. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a quality meal in a welcoming environment. Highly recommend!

In town on vacation with 10+ family members, we stopped at this restaurant for dinner. Worst dining experience I’ve had. Server was overwhelmed at the idea of splitting the check. Drinks came with no ice in them. Appetizers arrived with no plates or silverware. We ordered dinner. The first of our entrees arrived at 6 pm. Every five minutes or so a bus boy would bring out an entree or two, drop it on the table and leave. None of the food was good- fish was rubbery and seemed old. By 6:30 my daughters kids menu hot dog had yet to arrive. I went to the manager to ask where it was as our server had disappeared. She said she would get it right out and it would be free. Came ten minutes later. So, our entrees only took 40 total minutes to arrive!? And it’s not like we had a bunch of special orders. Took the server another fifteen minutes to figure out simple split checks, and they still charged us for a $8 hot dog...but gave us $3 off LOL...ridiculous. At this point I was too frustrated to even argue so I paid the check and left. The manager gave a sarcastic “sorry” as we left. I managed restaurants for years and would be embarrassed or fired if any of my restaurants operated like this. Oh, and I was up most of last night feeling nauseous. Zero stars for food quality, service, management, organization etc...there are 100 other restaurants in the area ... no wonder this was the only one that was empty and able to seat a group our size- should’ve realize that was a sign of how horrible they were....
