The Cheese Shop — Local services in Cape May

We have been there before a few times, and loved it, and the cheese is amazing, but the staff that were there today had 0 idea what they are even selling. We went there looking for a specific thing, smoked blue cheese, and we asked and she had no idea what were talking about, she even asked the other girl working there and she also just pointed to the other blue cheeses that they have, and i had to pull up a picture of what we were looking for and she said not sure what that is but our order is coming in in the next few days and we may get it then. I then asked if we can try any other cheeses besides the 2 that were on the counter and she said no, so it’s very hard to try anything new without buying a chunk, and some of them are expensive. Again, the cheese is great and the owner is nice as we met him the first time there, but the staff need to be more educated on what they are selling and also speak clearly, the one was mumbling so much, we couldn’t even understand what...

I was there today—possibly the best and most friendly customer service experience I have ever had in any shop ever! These people seem to LOVE their jobs, which is a true credit to them and their work place. Three different employees engaged us and all were wonderful. I highly recommend!

Customer service, 0/5 stars. 1 star only for purposes of the review. We (me and husband) went in for soup but no soup available. Instead, we stood at the counter to purchase store products where we were ignored for 8 minutes. We were the only customers in the store which is exceptionally small. One employee went to the back and the other employee had her back turned to the shelves the entire time we were in the store.
