Just now I was very thirsty after coming back from a drive on my day off (I’m not wealthy and could only afford a drink OR an ice cream treat) I ordered Minute Maid lemonade ($3.83 incl tax) thru BK Mobile app BUT accidentally at the BK in SV location so I parked and chatted with BK mobile support about my “oops” so they gave me an instant $5 credit in less than a minute. Bonus! I was happy and grateful so I ordered a lemonade AND an ice cream treat (just $0.31 more with my extra $1.17) at BK Capitola nearest me.
When I got to the drive-thru speaker the woman told me they did not have Minute Maid lemonade and offered me Sprite or a soda. I said, no, thank you, but that I really wanted lemonade and I asked if she could give me a credit back for the drink. She said I’d need to contact customer service and I said okay. Then silence so I said, “what shall I do right now?” thinking I’d still get my ice cream OR she’d say just drive thru and around back to the parking lot until I get it sorted out. She again said to “just call customer service” so, I said okay and rolled up my window and started to contact customer service in the BK Mobile app thinking this is totally inconvenient to folks behind me in the drive thru but it was so fast before.
Then she walks out of the building up to my window and says I need to drive thru. Of course. I’m an idiot. By this time I’m hot, thirsty and upset that this “oops” of mine is becoming a pain point and my decision making has seriously degraded.
So I pull thru and around and park to call. I decide to come in to the counter to get at least water and I see about five employees standing around listening to the woman mock me describing my vehicle — honestly I may have deserved it in some regard since I clearly should have pulled around the drive thru, duh! Still, it stung but, hey, for some unknown reason I took her literally at her word and I trusted her that maybe she knew it would be pretty quick to resolve. My bad!
I asked if I can have a cup of water since I was very thirsty while I dealt with the issue and she said no it would cost me for the cup. I had to pause and laugh. Was I somehow coming off entitled?
Okay, no. This was unnecessarily unkind. Another clerk walks up named Alan and Azereth put her hand up to stop him from speaking to her.
Eventually they put a small empty cup on the counter. And I asked what it was and they both said it was a cup of water. It was empty. No direction to even a source of water to fill it. Confused I picked it and set it back down. I left the free cup because what I really needed at this point was water. I was thirsty. That is why I ordered a drink.
I did contact customer support with all this to at least get my $4.14 refund but I thought to add this review in case the upper management reads it and perhaps will coach these unkind folks, Azereth and Alan, at Burger King 41st Avenue Capitola.
I’m now at the ExtraMile Chevron station a couple blocks down the street where I was given two of their largest available cups they have filled with free ice water and I bought a small Simply Lemonade ($2.74 incl tax) while telling the whole line of folks at the registers this...
Read moreNot only was I served with attitude, on multiple occasions my order has been incorrect. Most times I try to brush it off and just enjoy the fact that I have food in my stomach but this time I had had enough. I ordered clearly a number nine, even clarified that I wanted the number nine with two sausage burritos. Instead I was given French toast To Go. As I saw in my car that they had gotten my order incorrect, I asked if they would replace it with what I asked for-- two sausage burritos. They rolled their eyes and said make sure you are clear with what you order and I was even asked " why ddint you check the receipt?", however I did. And the reciept said exactly what I had ordered. I then went back to my car again, only to find that there were STILL French toast sticks and hashbrowns in my bag and one sausage burrito. This was not what I had asked for! When I went back a last time, I said nicely, " Hi there, I didnt want the French toast sticks, I just wanted the sausage burrito meal. Thats it. " and the cashier with the glasses glared at me. She told me that I should get my order right the first time, and to stop changing my order, although all I had wanted was what I payed for. It was a very simple task. Finally I wated for my order to be correct and they handed me a greasy crumpled up back with two sausage burritos that were so crunchy they could be considered tortilla chips. The hispanic woman with glasses who is a cashier/drive thru lady that got my order incorrect in the first place then slyly stated that this was the last time she was going to fix my order, as of my buisness was mot important. And im pretty sure this lady is the manager too. She shouldnt be. There is horrible customer service here and I will make sure to walk the extra distance to the McDonalds across the street where they serve with real customer service and accuracy. Do not bring your...
Read moreOVERALL: HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE FOOD.
Details: First off I dont write reviews but the service i recieved a few weeks ago from this 41st location was the worst! I used to work in fast food, and it is annoying when the order is incorrect/wrong. So i made it very clear on what i wanted and I myself had to repeat my order SEVERAL times for the drive through to get it “correct” ( it was actually incorrect, still) - also correct me if im wrong but isnt it THEIR job to repeat my order? Anyways so i drove forward and kindly told the window register lady that it was actually 2 instead of 3 of the burgers because they put it on the screen as 3 and she tells me, “ you said 3” and i said “i actually said 2 but please remove it” and there she continued to argue with me “you actually said 3”, we had gone back and forth and im shocked that this lady had it in her to tell me what i ordered when
She wasnt even the one who spoke to me through the menu ( it was a males voice) Menu guy didnt even do his job and even REPEAT my order back to me to make sure it was right. Who are you to tell me what i ordered? I already told you to remove it as simple as that, you really dont need to drag it on that you misheard what i had said and it was 2 burgers.
Anyways she finally charged me and it was a complete waste of money because the food was stale and the iced coffees she had made must’ve been expired because they tasted sour or she was too busy arguing with me to prepare them correctly.
Note to owner/ manager: Contact me! Ill gladly provide specific times and dates so this lady is never a problem to...
