My review is for service. I went in to have my hair color taken from medium brown to platinum blonde, or super light blonde. Debbie was my stylist. I had never been there before. Due to a scheduling conflict, I had to wait a bit. Which I was not bothered by, as I had plenty of time. The manager was very apologetic, friendly, and accommodating. Debbie was also very apologetic and accommodating. I really appreciated her taking to time to listen to what I wanted and explained the process and what may or may not workout. I really felt like she wanted to make sure we were in the same page. My hair didn’t lift to the same color we were wanting it to, which is no fault if anyone’s. It’s just my hair’s stubbornness! She stayed with me and told me about some solutions and eventually helped me decide which was going to give me the look I wanted. By the time she was finished, I was super happy with it and know that I will return. I don’t know where the bad comments of poor customer service are coming from, as that was not my experience at all. Every employee I came in contact with was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely return to Ulta and Debbie for a touch...

Ulta Beauty Capitola. OMG I went once and the lady who was cutting my hair seemed like she was high jittery and weird. She asked me if I had any wine in my water bottle. My haircut was awful so I went back again to try and get it fixed specifically asking for a different stylist the stylist cut my hair and I was left with a Bob that was shorter on the left than it was on the right. I asked for them to correct it and they said they were not willing to do so because they said I was asking too much of them I will never ever ever ever go there again and I hope no one else will. The customer service was horrific and I believe people's hair is a very big statement and so when someone messes it up so horrifically, it's not OK quite quite traumatizing. My mum said the difference between a good and a bad haircut might be a couple of weeks, but I'm supposed to be taking passport pictures and leaving to go to France so looking good was important and I don't have the time for it to grow out and look nice...

Im a cosmetologist and a makeup artist and even then always have the hardest time finding the right foundation shade on myself...usually the help I get is eh..okay but always feels rushed or like they don’t know what they are doing how ever today I went and a beautiful girl named Gracia (I believe was her name or Gracie 😬) helped me out today.thank god! I finally found a foundation that was great (recommended by her) and the perfect shade! Also didn’t feel rushed or pressured into having to buy products I end up regretting (like with other past experiences) Although I did walk out with a bag full lol only because I was so interested in trying out new stuff she personally loved for herself I was excited to try on myself. Also walked out feeling like I learned something from another makeup artist ( I looved that feeling)instead of being left like um..do U know what ur doing this looks odd..... lol. Best help ever!!! I hope she never leaves I’d deff look for her n ask for...
