Recommended by a local which usually works out to be a some good eating food especially when your looking for a hole in the wall taco place (these tend to be great places to find tacos) however I was disappointed when my tacos arrived. I ordered a fish taco and a Carne Asade supreme taco. The fish in the fish taco is breaded I prefer a seasoned fish non breaded but was open to try it however unfortunately it didn't have enough flavor along with an abundant amount of cabbage and onions which overpowered the rest of the taco to make it unenjoyable. The supreme taco is good typical guacamole and sour cream added to the original taco on the menu but nothing to write home about and pricy $7 beers. I will not be going back to this place and I love Mexican food however their tacos were subpar (too many fillers cabbage and onions) unlike the recommendation I received which is unfortunate. If your in town I would highly recommend looking around for another place to grab some tacos. Riva Fish House on the Wharf is a better bet if you like seasoned fish not breaded.

Our family came in here after being poorly treated by staff at Zelda's (restaurant beside Tacos Moreno). The guy at the front welcomed us, and served us the most delicious mexican food I've ever had. He was even nice enough to let my younger siblings eat pizza from a different store because they're picky eaters.Their Taco salad is so good. I wished they had more seating to accommodate the many customers wanting to eat here. If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend eating here with your family.

A good experience every time with service you can count on! Tacos Morenos is one of the go-to taquerias in Santa Cruz, whether it be the Capitola location or Water Street in Santa Cruz. I highly recommend trying it out if you haven’t already. It is cash only, but no need to line your pockets too much. The food is affordable and you get a nice portion.

The food was ok, and the service was pretty slow. I ordered 2 quesadillas but they gave me 2 vegetarian tacos. The ground had crushed chips, other foreign unidentifiable objects, and when I accidentally dropped a spoon the appeared on my table, there was a pubic hair stuck to it, I am not joking. The bathroom floor was cleaner than the floor undernthe tables, but there were tags all over the mirror. The supply closet was open and there was lots of liquids that if a child saw, would think it was some tasty drink(pine sol, dawn soap), and the last thing a buisness wants is for a child to be dead in their bathroom, because that will present lots of speculations. Also there was only one wood surface, so I dont know why they would need 5 and a half gallons of pine sol. They had more pine sol then the did Coka Cola. Thank you for...

No chips on to go orders?!?! No extra hot sauce when charged normal price for a burrito without salsa (I’m sorry that I don’t like chunky salsa, I shouldn’t be penalized for it), and the carnitas was nothing special. If I ate inside I would have gotten chips and a giant rub of hot sauce. The quesadilla was one tortilla folded in half … isn’t that a taco? And it was bland. Rude cashier. Not worth the very high price or aggravation for a cash only taqueria, since there are so many other choices around here. Very disappointed. I’ll stick with Delicia’s in Watsonville - that...
