Panera Bread — Restaurant in Carlsbad

So I was in Panera at Menifee. The decor and layout is diffent than Carlsbad mall. Definately lots of light and chairs. I had the Chicken Rancher. Bread was good and so was the chicken. I would have liked a little more kick. Order comes with potato chips.

"The Breakfast "Sip" Club" at Panera Bread. Rainy drizzly morning I am happy to count on the crew of Panera led by Marcos to have coffee and hot bagle ready. Thank you Panera. This "nerdy" dude really appreciate having a place to be.

There has been recent news of Panera lately. My visit here has been good, quiet at times, busy at times. I am still enjoying my visit when I can.

8/25/23 Recent news. Not sure if this news applies but it stated that a few items in the Panera menu will no longer be available.

I stopped in Panera for a quick latte and pastry in the morning. It was a bit quiet, thus, the line was very short (until I left, and then the people started packing it in). Zach took my order and was top-notch! He had great customer service skills. Greeted me with a smile, asked me how my morning was going, and was engaging. I received my order quickly. Latte was delivered hot, and had a great balance of espresso and milk. The espresso didn't taste burnt and over processed like the Corporate mermaid company's coffee does. It was smooth and well balanced. My pastry was light, buttery, and flaky. A great way to start my morning. If I had any complaint, it would be that prices are a little inflated for the portion size offered. $7 for a kitchen sink cookie is definitely out of range. If it was a huge cookie, then I would consider it. This size was maybe 4 inches wide, which just doesn't make sense to buy...

I go to this location a lot along with the Vista and San Marcos locations. The big issue is the homeless sitting in the outdoor seating out front especially a father and son the past two months who sit at the same table around the clock. Another older guy and a lady switch off looking after their huge grey Marmaduke dog brining the dog into the bathroom and in the restaurant for a few minutes. There is another homeless guy that sits in the back corner and constantly talks to himself laughing and carrying on a conversation. There are other homeless with rolling small suitcases they come in and sit and use the bathroom. One guy has smoked marijuana out front in the past. I do not see this at any other locations but this one. Corporate said managers would need to do something about this. I feel really bad for these homeless people but not really good for paying customers to constantly have...
