Kitchen of India — Restaurant in Carney

I can’t speak for the meat dishes but the chickpea curry did not come CLOSE to the other chickpea curries I’ve had and have made myself. I flavor was disappointing and really lacked the depth and deliciousness that a good, thick chickpea curry should have. This one was rather runner, needed salt, and was primarily spicy with hints of garlic but that wasn’t enough for me to enjoy it. I would work and crafting a more delicious curry that has depth and flavor in addition to being spicy. One that would wow your customers. The rice was rice but the na’an bread (especially the cheese one) was also dissappointing. Smelled great, but lacked the flavor and thickness that I’ve come to love in na’an bread elsewhere.

Ordered a second time and tried the Paneer Masala and was pretty good! Pretty spicy though but pretty good.

Hubby ordered the Palak Paneer and we both enjoyed the garlickyness of it! Would order again.

Their Naan bread just doesn't impress me that much. Mango chutney was a bit too vinegary.

Overall, the restaurant needs to work on consistency and making sure every dish...

My partner and I came to Kitchen of India for our second date and we've been coming here regularly ever since over the past 5 years. Seriously, nothing compares to their Aloo Matter, which is potatoes and peas in this amazing creamy tomato sauce with spices. SO GOOD. We live in Baltimore City and come out to the county specifically to eat here. We love the staff who recognize us as this point, and who are always friendly and come to ask how we are and how the food was. In addition to the main course, we also always get the chai tea (mine with milk). I'm not a naan person, but my partner is. I love the papadum. For dessert I always get either the Indian Rice Pudding or the Rasmalai, which is a cheese patty covered in cream and pistachios. My partner prefers the Gulab Jamun which is fried round balls of cheese...

Their food is decent. I used to come here regularly on my way home. But after this most recent experience, I'm never going back. I picked up my food and started the 30 minute drive home. I'm almost home when a woman that works there called me to tell me that they gave me the wrong order and that I needed to drive back. She's barely apologetic but I drive back anyway. I ask if they can make my order fresh again so it won't be cold. They said they would but didn't. I start heading home again and the food is ice cold. I call back and originally they refuse to refund me but eventually, they relent and give it to me the next day. Check your order before...
