This place is conveniently located, makes some pretty good food, but has some health and safety concerns. They have two grills within 1 inch of each other. As they were toasting bread on one, one of the employees (a man with glasses) started spraying some cleaning product ON THE GRILL right next to the one with the bread. It was so toxic you could smell it in the whole restaurant and they other employees walked away and covered their mouths and noses. I went over to let them know you can’t do that. They looked at me like I was crazy. They said it’s the one next to it not the one with the bread. Im like it’s close enough to it. I asked them to please throw the bread away (I didnt care that I already had my order - no one deserves contaminated food) and after several minutes of going back and forth they did. I am terrified to think what happens in the kitchen. I will not be coming. The risk...
Read moreNice breakfast place around the corner from Hotel Villa del Sol offering no frills food. Got my cafe con leche fix here everyday and was pleased. Their coffee is a little pricey but 1000 times better than Starbucks.
I had a few variations of sandwiches, the jamon con webo y queso, the bacon egg and cheese, egg with American cheese and finally egg with Swiss cheese, which turned out to be the best out of all of them.
I will say there food is hit or miss. Unless you ask for extra eggs the eggs on the sandwiches tend to be a bit thin. It was. It was not until I added an extra egg to make it three with my egg and Swiss, that I hit the jackpot and got an amazing breakfast sandwich. I also stayed away from their pastries. They did not look fresh on any day I was there.
Overall as a cafe con leche spot it's a winner with a few down sides, but overall the pluses out weighed the minuses.

Review: One of many restaurants along the isla verde street that provides a variety of breakfast and lunch options. The eggs were cooked to whatever style you prefer however, they were bland and missing sazon. The home fries were soft with the right amount of crisp but also lacked seasoning. The bacon was crispy, salty, with the right amount of fattiness and smokiness. The highlight of the day was the waffles, they were buttery, soft, crunchy edges and sweet with the addition of powdered sugar. I would like to go back to try their omelettes and lunch items.
