To start, we arrived at 7:15 and by our receipt, our first drinks weren't even rung in until 7:50. The waitress/ Bartender didn't pay attention to anything we said. Over half the things we asked for were never brought to our table. Water, cocktails, salsa, and more. I ordered Sopes-- which are on the appetizer menu-- and after two hours of waiting, I finally asked to cancel the order and get the check. Granted, my partner got his food and ate while I waited and waited but people that showed up after us had their waters filled, food served, and were taken care of. I chose carne asada for my meat option but the waitress told me they were out and then I overheard her given meat options to another table and Carne Asada was on the menu again. The waitress kept saying my order was almost done and that they had to make them from scratch but as a Mexican, I know what it takes to make Sopes and I know that it does not take 2 hours. Finally as we were leaving, the waitress boxed up the sopes and as I looked at them, they were raw! We were so looking forward to this place but were extremely disappointed and to top it off, I got sick from the salsa! Never going back and will...
Read moreWorst tacos in Puerto Rico. Our hopes were high based on the reviews. But reality set in rather quick after we were sat with lackluster enthusiasm and received the worst guacamole I’ve ever had. I wish that were the last time you heard those words in this review, however, the fish tacos created so much oil run off that by the time I forced two tacos down, there was a puddle of grease. I was so mad at myself for eating it. My husband had 2 chicken tacos and 2 slow cooked asada tacos. Both were flavorless. The chicken was dry and the tortilla was nasty. The Asada was grey and overcooked…slow cooked for a week maybe?🤔 he couldn’t even finish the first asada and manage to choke down most of his chicken tacos, saying, “I’m not going to bed hungry”. So dramatic. The waitress brought the check after taking his food and discussing how the asada wasn’t good. She brought the check…we had to ask for the single taco to be taken off(we DID eat the other food). The total surprised use too. $58(before tip) for the worst guacamole, worst fish taco order and worst 3 individual tacos plus a bottle of...
Read moreIf you’re looking for Mexican food in PR this is not it. The food was by far the worst we had in the island. The service was not the best either. The guacamole was not good, and the carnitas smelled really bad almost as if it was rotten. We did end up speaking to the owner and she apologized for our experience and took care of the problem. As the owner, I wish she would’ve been more attentive from the beginning. We went from our server who acted like her hands were tied to the head server who said sorry but we’re still charging you. Finally after we had paid we still asked for the owner to give our feedback. She was apprehensive at first but receptive to our feedback and terrible experience as there were 7 of us (4 adults and 3 kids) in our party. Save yourself the money and try a different place. Everything you see in the pics we did NOT eat. There’s a reason the reviews...
