Awake in Carrollton has quickly become one of my favorite spots for breakfast, and after my recent visit, it’s easy to see why this place is gaining a loyal following. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was nothing short of excellent. One of the highlights of my visit was the staff’s willingness to customize my meal to suit my preferences. As someone who doesn’t eat bacon, I was thrilled when they happily substituted chicken in my dish without any hesitation. This level of attentiveness and flexibility is something you don’t always find, and it made my breakfast all the more enjoyable. Speaking of food, the orange mimosa was absolutely divine. It was refreshing, with just the right balance of citrusy sweetness and bubbles. It complemented my meal perfectly and set a cheerful tone for the rest of my Friday morning. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the French toast. It was nothing short of fantastic! Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and topped with just the right amount of syrup and fresh fruits. Each bite was a delightful mix of flavors and textures, making it one of the best French toasts I’ve had in a long time. Awake in Carrollton is not just a place to grab breakfast; it’s a place where you can enjoy a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere with great service and even better food. Whether you’re looking to customize your meal or enjoy a classic breakfast dish, Awake has you covered. I thoroughly enjoyed my Friday breakfast here and will definitely be returning to try more from their menu. Highly recommended!

My response is based solely on the food. I Uber Eats an order of Crab Cakes Beneidict with a side of dressed mixed greens… the salad was the best part. The dressing amazing the mixed greens beautiful, but I paid for a crab cake Benedict…. Not cheap. The Hollandaise sauce is some sort of fake… cheap. I would bet money on Cambell’s or Knorr’s canned or packaged. The carb cake itself is low quality canned fishy crab with no seasoning, herbs, bread crumb, or anything really! Again, cheap… the rye bread sub was great. Likely ordered in and not made by them… roasted tomatoes cooked, but no actual roast… for what I paid not worth it… The poached eggs looked nice, but over cooked. Visually ok, but the taste was extremely lacking when I pay $20 for a meal it better not be canned, packaged, tasteless food… you’re robbing unsuspecting customers to make a buck… not ok. OH! And the to-go packaging is styrofoam… awful for the environment! Plastic isn’t much better, but at least it can be recycled. The company is ran strictly for profit… that’s obvious.

- first-time visitor - dine in - Ordered the waffle combo with bacon and potatoes - coworker ordered the 2 egg breakfast with potatoes - we were not pleased with the overall food - the bacon was very salty - the potatoes had little flavor and were under cooked - I enjoyed the Texas shaped waffle. It was good but not crispy. It reminded me of a hotel. DIY breakfast. - I ordered 1 slice of French toast; I think it was undercooked. I even asked the waitress. It was the blondest French toast and devoid of egg. It was not tasty. To make matters worse, I thought one slice of French toast was $2. It was $4. It was only $2 if it was part of your combo and an upgraded side. That was not clear to me. Restaurant reviews seem decent overall, so I guess they were having a bad day. This was on a week day between 11 - 11:30 am. It was not busy or packed with people. The server was attentive. The food was subpar.

I love this place! I love the minimalist decor, makes the restaurant look sleek and cute. I always get the Kale Kicker as my drink, so refreshing and a great alternative to high sugar juices. This time I got the Mexican Omelette and added avocado, the absolute best. Extra sour cream please! I have to have the ranch potatoes every time. Sooooo good! Good service as well. It can get crowded and the wait could be longer on some days, depending on the time you go. Just know, if you have to wait, it will be worth it. @MissMo2323

To begin when we walked in, nobody was in the front. So we were started to become fearful and callous as we waited til someone. As someone rushed to the front we were greeted with kind gestures leading us to the table. Made comfortable and I order the huevos rancheros burrito. Not a single thought went through my mind that they would give me an open burrito 😆 well over all the food tasted delicious. I just thought of how nice it would have been told when ordering the huevos rancheros it would be messy.
