Bacci's Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Carrollton

It sure is a shame. We had gone for years, because it was so close to home, after discovering the free beer at the Addison location. The owner is so friendly and passionate, that he gives the place an authentic New York feel.

Unfortunately, we have not seen him at all lately, and he must have taken the quality with him, because it felt more like the replica pictures trying too hard to be NYC, turning the place into more of a "Botched-i's." Here's what was wrong:

1. The iced tea tasted strange, like it had lemon already, regardless if you wanted it.
2. It took 40 minutes to get our pizza, and there were only one or two families ahead of us.
3. Then, when we got the LARGE pizza, the half works and half pepperoni felt really lacking. The "works" was not over half the pizza, and the pepperoni had a average of three per LARGE slice. The crust was good, but it was just a sad reminder of what used to be.
4. Luckily, we had salads to tide us over, but they had one cucumber and one tomato. The rest was lettuce. I had to move the bowl to another table for them to pick it up.
5. The worst part was all this was (3 drinks, 2 salads and a large "works" pizza) was over $30. The only benefit is the lack of tip. There are too many places in DFW to go to eat for a better value. They are skimping to save money, and it shows. We'll never be back.

If you want better value in a neighborhood Italian place, I suggest Italian Villa at Hebron and Old Denton. The pizzas are far better and they have a daily (weekends included) lunch special for $6.95 or $7.95, with a salad and...

This was our favorite family pizza spot long before the pandemic. Back then, Bacci’s had multiple locations, "Addison" but like many small businesses, COVID forced them to downsize. Today, only one location remains.

Bacci’s is the kind of business that reflects heart, heritage, and excellence. I would hate to see this last location close because we didn’t rally behind it when it mattered most.

Absolute worst! Will never return in life! Adult children running the place and lack costumer service skills. Extremely rude and should not be in charge of managing a restaurant. Over charged me $3 for removing pork toppings from pizza and no I did not add toppings. I paid for food but Pizza was cold and old, I asked if they could remake pizza. The cashier said "fine " in a nasty tone but the manager Jay questioned me as to why I wanted another pizza. I explained and said he would only make another pizza if I paid again to remake since I'm the reason of the condition of the food. He accused me of wanting free food, embarrassing me in front of the entire restaurant although I never asked for a refund ! He says if I wasn't late then the pizza would not be cold. He would not offer a refund because he said it was my fault the pizza was cold and old and he would not make another pizza until I paid the $15 twice. I was being charged twice for 1 pizza. I was completely humiliated in front of all the customers as the cashier /manager at argued and accused me. I was 9mo. Pregnant and completely embarrassed and disgusted in the lack of customer service! I left without a pizza...
