I made my last visit to this location this morning after being a regular customer for more than 10 years. Since the owner changed more than a year ago the quality has gone done and never recovered. The morning shift is the worst followed by evening after the dinner rush and lunch is the most competent. It's July 5th, so I thought that with less traffic, I could try the drive-thru and get an error free order. It was awful.
The person outside pretending to take orders didn't have the handheld menu, but I know my order, a chicken, egg & cheese bagel meal with a coffee with 2 Splenda, 2 cream and a sausage, egg & cheese muffin, sandwich only with an orange juice. I only gave the first part of the order, the bagel before pausing. She said "chicken biscuit?" I was looking straight at her, and she got "chicken biscuit." I corrected it, "No. The bagel meal. A chicken, egg and cheese bagel meal with a coffee." She said, ""a bagel with cheese and an egg?" I had already said "chicken" at least twice at that point. Why wouldn't I want the chicken if I came to Chick-fil-A and said chicken twice? I was starting to question her intelligence at this point because I was speaking loudly enough, not quickly, with no car radio blasting and I was articulating carefully.
I had to say "chicken, egg and cheese bagel," no kidding 5 to 6 times before she got only that part correct, read it back and tried to total the order. I told her, "That's not the entire order." More frantic tapping on her handheld device. I added a sausage, egg and cheese muffin (English muffin) and OJ. Unbelievably, that part she understood and got correct, at a CHICKEN restaurant. I did not trust her by then and asked "Would you please read the entire order back to me?" She said it correctly, but I wish that had been the end of it.
I got to the empty window because she had taken so long the entire line in front of me had gone. The young woman at the window I remember from previous visits in the past month because she was so slow and not competent at taking orders outside either. Sorry to describe her this way but shorter Latina, straight brown hair, bad acne. She tried to get me to pay for someone else's order that was quite different and $8.xx, mine was $11.xx. I said, "I just paid with a credit card back there, and that's not my order." I looked inside past her and that store was not busy.
She said the orders had gotten out of sequence. No one was in front of me or pulling up behind. I saw her hand the previous car their order as I finally turned the corner, so did someone else give up and drive away from their mess? Why take customer names if you won't use them to keep orders sorted? She wandered off then gave me the drinks but said they were working on the food. When I finally got it, I had been dealing with their incompetence from the first words with the woman outside for over 10 minutes. The order had not been transmitted for quite some time once she started the farce of an ordering process.
1st error: Going there again.
2nd error: Not canceling entirely after the third try at getting the woman to understand, "chicken, egg and cheese bagel."
3rd error: Not reading the receipt carefully since she had stated the order correctly at last.
4th error: Not unwrapping the sandwiches before driving away. I got onto the tollway and only then discovered that I was given a bagel with cheese, an egg and NO CHICKEN!
I never call places to complain, but I did it today. The manager offered to replace my sandwich after I had already said that I would couldn't return to the store because I was halfway to work in downtown (about 15 miles from...
Read moreThe owner and manager Chris and Juanita respectively, have the worst customer service around. My daughter works here and I've had to have discussions with both the owner and manager on 2 occasions besides today about how my daughter as an employee is treated. Today as I arrive to drop my 17 year old daughter off for her shift I find the store has 2 employees working outside taking orders on their IPads. I normally wouldn't care except the temperature today is 34°, theres a winter weather advisory, and there's a steady rain falling. I call Juanita and ask her if she knows the temp outside is 34° and that it's raining, freezing temperatures. She says yes she knows. I ask her why she has people working outside in these conditions and she says it's fine. I tell her that if they send my daughter outside in these conditions she's to call me because it's unsafe to be outside. I also tell her that they are facing workers comp claims and lawsuits for unsafe work conditions. I tell her if my daughter gets sick they will pay for her medical bills and her time off work. I tell her that Chick Fil A makes plenty of money they don't have to subject their employees to these conditions. I tell her to let the owner Chris know my concerns she says she sure will. In the 10 minutes it took me to get home the Owner calls me and states I am harassing his managers and he is going to file a restraining order against me. He said He will treat his employees however he wants and if I have a concern to talk to My daughter about it. I try to explain my concerns and conversation with his manager to him and he talks over me the entire time. I tell him since he won't hear me I will contact the corporate office. I am not one to just complain without cause. But no human should be forced to work in conditions that threaten their health or safety, especially not for $10/hour. No one should work for someone who doesn't value their contribution to keeping their...
Read moreVisited multiple times in a week because my first experience wasn't great so I wanted to give another chance at different times of the day. First time I visited it was chaotic and everyone behind the counter seemed confused. They were bumping around each other like pinball in a machine. Nobody turned to acknowledge they had ppl waiting on pickups. Another visit I sat and watched my messily made milkshake melt on the counter while nobody acknowledged my presence or even looked in my direction so I could get their attention. I finally had to interrupt a cashier and ask her to hand me my milkshake. Then yesterday I'm there, and same thing-nobody even looked up to notice someone had walked in through the carryout door. I stood for a few minutes (not realizing they now have a carryout rack) and just observed. There's a screen that tells you if your order is ready and it instructs you to make contact with staff. The problem is that it doesn't seem they've designated a person to be responsible for pickups and nobody has the sense to even look up at the freaking pickup counter and see if there's anyone there. 3 times and the same lack of awareness for their carryout customers 😒 Atthis point, I was going to ask to speak to a manager (there were several on shift at the time) and they also never even looked on the direction of the door. Aside from plain old good customer service, there is a level of security to looking up when people are entering the door directly by your back of the house and registers. Food was always...
