Chip's Burger Bar — Restaurant in Carrollton

The atmosphere and theme of the bar is amazing. I appreciated the small details such as getting black napkins instead of regular white ones. The music played was also enjoyable. The Berries & Cream cocktail and frozen Watermelon Sugar from the bar were really good. The Southern Cheese Balls were amazing and one of the best things I've ever ate. The fried pickles were also good. I tried a double Chipotle Burger with a side of tatter tots. The portion size of everything (especially the patty size) was great and the tatter tots were good but this is what leads me into one of my disappointments... the flavor of the burger was just completely missing. It tasted very empty and I'm guessing it's because there's not enough seasoning being put into the actual patty. My only other concern was when you first walk in for the first time, you're not really sure where to go/what to do. The downstairs area felt like a café and I didn't see any signs to lead you to the bar so I had to awkwardly ask an employee where to find the bar which ended up being upstairs.

I will definitely be back but probably only for the drinks and appetizers (I am willing to try a burger again in the future though). I hope this business does well and I wish the best for them. This really is a cool place...

Our most recent visit was a little disappointing, which was a first for us. We normally love everything about this place. But this time, they got my son's burger wrong and, even though we told the waitress, she didn't do anything about it. I also pointed out to her that I only got 6 tater tots but she just nodded and moved on. The chili on the hot dog was awful too. Ended up just scraping everything off the dog and eating it by itself. And the most frustrating part was that both servers and both cooks just hung out at the pickup counter and talked about parties and drinking at their fraternities and sororities. The cooks dropped the F-bomb several times and I was sitting there with my son right in front of them. They were oblivious. And they were sitting there talking about other students calling them by name, in a derogatory manner. Just think there needs to be a little more maturity on staff, at least during the day when you are mainly feeding families. On a positive note, their tater tots...

Food Good, Waitress Nice, Atmosphere ok. My Family and Myself were here. The amount of Money you spend does not match the quantity of food. The Food needs to be good and cooked properly, and plenty, not pretty, WE IS NOT IN NEW YORK CITY! JUST SAYIN Y'ALL! While sitting there with some friends I also noticed that a Disabled Man was sitting with his family and he asked for a drink. The waitress told him he would have to go upstairs, You could see the Wind Go out of his Sail, This aggravated me and It was not even me that this was done to. HELLO, HE IS DISABLED WITH A CANE AND YOU WANT HIM TO GO UPSTAIRS FOR A DRINK. EITHER YOU SELL ALCOHOL OR YOU DON'T! This disturbed me. What's the difference between upstairs and downstairs.
