At 4:51PM, I went through the drive through and ordered 6 spicy tenders (which should have came with gravy) with fried okra, roll, and a sweet tea and a 8 count corn nugget. They confirmed my order and I went to the drive through window to pay and pick up my order. I went home and proceeded to attempt to eat my food. I opened the box and saw that the tenders were not spicy, there was no gravy in the box, the roll had some Parmesan like flakes all over it and everything was STALE. I was furious and had to calm down before going back to the restaurant. I drove back up to the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager. I was told that there was no manager available. I then asked to speak with the shift lead and Cashier T came to speak to me. I explained that I am very upset that my order was incorrect, I repeated what I ordered and how it was prepared incorrectly. She the cashier had no care in the world and just told me that they can remake it. I agreed and also proposed to make rectify me for wasting my time and money having to come back up there that I would need another order the exact same day way on the house which I know they could do. They absolutely refused to do that. I stated that since Golden Chick is the one who made the mistake that they can make that decision to make it right by giving me a second meal on the house. The staff stated that they couldn’t do it and that they would have to call their manager. I suggested for them to call their manager on speaker. So they did, and did not tell the full truth by omitting the fact that they messed up my order and I had to come back up there to get my order corrected and that the right thing to do is for the staff to remake the order times 2 and to not charge me for that additional meal. The manager refused to do that and stated that they would have to charge me at least half of the meal even though all of this was from the mistake of their employees. Reluctantly I obliged to mitigate the issue as the staff had no remorse for messing up my order. So I requested for EVERYTHING to be made fresh and stayed at the front to ensure none of the order was tampered with. Never received an apology or anything. They finally completed the order and asked me to look at everything. I did and guess what, the order WAS STILL WRONG. So the order was messed up twice but the manager Sebastian wouldn’t authorize staff to comp my second order. Once I rolled the window down I was looking around trying to figure out if I was in the right place to order, when an employee asked on the speaker “are you guys ready to order?” and I chuckled nervously because I felt bad, and said “yes, sorry” paused, waited for confirmation that she was ready to take our order, she didn’t say anything so I said, “can you hear me?” and she simply said “yes.” once I began ordering, I noticed she had an attitude with me. The speaker cut out and I didn’t hear what she asked me so I said “the what?” and she said “the siiidddeeessss.” and when I was done ordering, I wanted to confirm that she put down the spicy chicken and not the regular, because the speaker kept cutting out and I wasn’t sure if she got that part. She once again, with attitude, replies “yes.” over-exaggerating her annunciation as if she’s talking to someone less than or unintelligent. Then, once we pulled up to the window to pay, she did not ONCE say a SINGLE word to me. I tried saying thank you and talking to her, but she didn’t respond and looked mad. Once she gave us our food, I thought we had everything and almost pulled off, but due to her NOT SPEAKING to me at all, I didn’t realize she was trying to hand me another bag that had the gravy in it. I said “oh, thank you” and again, she said nothing. We left feeling VERY disrespected. She talked to me like I was less than human and an ignorant child. Then proceeded to give poor customer service at the window by ignoring me entirely. If your speaker isn’t working properly, that is not your customers fault nor is it an excuse to be disrespectful. Read moreI keep having bad experiences each time I go to this restaurant. Again, something was missing from my order last night but this is the first time I brought it to their attention when I could. Last night I ordered a 9 wicked wing combo-extra spicy. When I got home, my husband told me that 3 wings were missing. I called the restaurant immediately, and no one answered (4 times) which wasn’t surprising due to them getting busy around 10p and I had to wait at the window 20 minutes for my order. Today, I go to get him another 6 wicked wings extra spicy and the black girl charged him for the “extra spice” which is weird cause no other Golden Chick or anyone else at this location does this. I brought the issue to their attention that wings were missing, and it was like she couldn’t wait to say, “We can’t do anything about that, you should have told us that last night and that’s what my manager said” whom was also yelling it to her from the kitchen. Well I proceeded to say to her and her manager, “I tried to inform you last night (same manager) but no one answered when I called (4 times)”! Given that I stay on Old Denton RD and Windhaven, I did not want to drive back cause of this small issue. Yes this issue is small to leave a review for, but that’s not the reason I’m leaving a review now. I’m leaving the review now because of multiple issues I’ve experienced with this location, one being my issue with the young black lady’s delivery of her customer service and her charging for things that aren’t normally charged for. She charges for extra sauces and seasonings, which is the rarest of rare (see receipts). And bottom line, I’m soooo tired of having things missing from my order and being charged more for little things like complimentary condiments.
