Grand Wok — Restaurant in Carrollton

Food is delicious. I’ve been to A LOT of Chinese restaurants in the area and this is the best one.

Most Chinese restaurants in the area are very mediocre in taste and quality in food. Grand Wok is definitely not one of those places. I placed a pickup order for combo lo mein, egg drop soup, and spring rolls.

When I got to the restaurant to pickup my order, it was brought to my attention that combo fried rice was prepared instead of lo mein since that is what was heard over the phone. To me, that is not a huge problem and I told them not to worry about it and I can take it as is, however, the cashier (owner?) was very sorry for the mistake and asked me to wait 5 mins while they prepared the combo lo mein for me to take along with the combo fried rice that was accidentally made. Wonderful customer service.

The customer service, taste, and low price is well worth coming here over the competition. Makes sense why they have such a high review.

I don't know what kind of Asian food Carrollton residents are used to, but where I'm from, nothing about my meal here would qualify as a "4.8" (Grand Wok's current rating stood when I visited). 4.8 restaurants are topnotch. This was far from. My hot and sour soup was handed to me lukewarm, and it was gelatinous, as if the corn starch wasn't added correctly. Further, it had no "hot" nor "sour" flavor. My vegetable lo mein serving was copious, yet bland and over-sauced into goop. The server was indeed pleasant and polite (and the only reason my overall score wasn't a 1.0). Although I chose to eat there, my food was brought sealed up to go, which I found weird, since there's ample seating for well over a dozen people. I could speculate more about what's going wrong here, but that's just too much trouble for food I couldn't finish for it's...

I had called before and asked if they used white or dark meat...The lady on the phone stated they use white meat for their Orange Chicken...

I stop in and order, but what I received (to me) didn't entirely look like white meat...It looked like a combination of white and dark mea, yak...

To me the food didn't have any flavor...A number of pieces that were just breading...I ordered an egg roll as well - Bland...

The service was good, but the bathroom had soap all over the floor next to the sink...A customer could slip and do some serious damage to themselves...The pop machine was out of service as well...

I have provided photos for the questionable meat as well as for the bathroom...

I'm not a fan of Panda Express yet I think it has this place beat in terms of quality...Never again,...
