Came here to redeem a free sub with my Quiznos reward points. Since the sub was freez I had planned to buy the chips and drink to go with it. When I got inside, I let the personnel know, the owner, that I was redeeming my points. He was the personaking sandwhich es on the line. He said ok and told me to click the button in the app to show him the details of the free reward. I did and the time started on the reward. Once you click it, you have one hour to redeem it or the code expires. Once he saw that it was free... likely really FREE...he began to complain that I was getting a free sub. "Is that all you're going to get? How am I suppose to make any money? How did you get those points? My store didn't give you those points? Points earned in Louisiana don't apply to my store here in Texas. You need to buy something!"
I was shocked. I had already planned to buy chips and a drink to go with my free sub, but I was shocked by how he tried to pressure me into buying something. I told him I had already planned to buy something but I'm not required to buy anything to get this free sub. If he didn't want me to redeem it at his store then I could have went somewhere else. He then said "It is not up to Quiznos if I get something for free. It is his store. He decides if people redeem their points at his store."
I was ready to walk out when another employee started to apologize for his behavior. She said "I'm so sorry ma'am. Please take the food. It is ok. I'm so sorry." While she was apologizing, the owner kept asking if I could buy chips or drink so that his store could make some money. AGAIN...I told him I was already planning to buy it when I walked in. It is not right for him to try to pressure customers into buying items at his store. If you don't want people to redeem their Quiznos reward points at your Quiznos store say so before YOU tell them to click the...
Read moreSo I need to confess something first in this review, my wife and I are certified Quiznos vultures -which is why my review is 3 stars-.
Quiznos has loads of nostalgic vibes for us and we'll happily drive to, pay, and eat any scraps from the carcass of this undead sandwich company whenever we find one still clinging to life -while we still can-.
But would I recommend this location to anyone else? Well... unless you're curious about what it tastes like; not really.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't go here, but I'm also saying you're probably not going to totally enjoy it either.
While we wish this location tons of success -mostly because we want to be able to visit it as much as possible; we are certified Quiznos vultures after all-, it's definitely a shell of its former self.
Promotional posters are held up with the same tape used to hold sandwiches in their paper wrapping, hand made signs are displayed to promote viral sandwiches, iced tea is in a To-Go beverage bag on ice with masking tape used as a label, the bags of chips felt mildly... sticky?, and just looking around you can tell the location feels like it sort of slipped through the cracks when most locations were shuttered many, many, many years ago.
To make this a little worse, the price of this unusual franchise restaurant behavior for us was in the ballpark of ~$15 a person for two 8 inch sub combos.
But... for us, that first bite of a sub that we haven't tasted in probably over 4 years just made all those peculiar experiences melt away in a hazy cloud of our own rose colored memories... and we'll be back as long as this place is...
Read moreIve gone to Quiznos nearly 3 times a week for the past 6 months because I genuinely enjoy their chicken carbonara. My total is generally the exact same across all quiznos give or take a few cents ($17). I stopped by this Quiznos for the first time because i was in the area (there are fewer and fewer quiznos left). What floored me was that they charge basically 8 dollars after tax for double meat at this location whereas ive never been charged more than 5 any place else. I can sympathize with what the franchise owners put up with, but to spend basically 25 bucks for a single foot long is getting excessive. Idk if this is a franchisee decision or what, but just understand if you order double meat here youre basically going to get charged enough for an entire other sandwhich someplace else (the only reason i have to get double meat is because theyve steadily reduced the size of their serving scoops over the last few years - it never used to be necessary). Im not sure if this is a complaint against this specific branch or quiznos in general but for the price you could pretty much go to a sit down restaurant of much higher quality. Its very disappointing considering quiznos has a special place in my heart but its becoming more and more difficult to justify their prices against their quality. Nearly 8 dollars for double meet is...
