The food is great.... but I disagree about the staff. I have eaten at joes for years and always it seems to be that I'm bothering them.
I was in there recently and walked to the counter, my daughter and I were the only ones there. After waiting several minutes listening to them have conversations and watching them, my greeting was not high, or sorry for the wait, what could I help you with but just a simple WHAT?
They always have something better to do and can never look directly at me and speak politely. Not that they are directly rude either. I just feel like they don't care if I eat at their restraunt or not.
So you know, the younger generation behind the counter does not have this issue... but I never seem to get them to take my order.
Maybe it's me... So I ordered via Uber Eats.
The Uber driver tells me they didn't put the shrimp on my Cesar salad because there is a charge for it. I ask who said it, "the older guy" he replied. Well that figures. But, wait. I didn't order a Cesar salad!!!! Nor did I ask for shrimp. I ask for a tossed salad-with cheese. Clearly printed on the receipt from Uber.
At least Uber refunded that part of order.

Read moreI decided to use the online menu to order my food for delivery. While looking online the descriptions detailed that the entrees will come with salads or you can upgrade to a Caesar salad for an extra charge. So I opted for the upgraded salad on one of the meals. Fast forward to the delivery, all the food was delivered with the exception of salads. I called the Carrollton store to inquire about the salads and was informed that the menu online was not the same as the menu in the restaurant. I was assured that I would get the upgraded salad due to me payin for it already but that the other salad would not be sent because it was not in the restaurant menu. The call taker stated that they have informed the owner multiple times and he refuses to have it changed. I mentioned that this falls into the realm of false advertising and that is when the call taker encouraged me to make a review. He also informed me that the owner was looking at federal IRS charges and that he needs to be reported. Needless to say it was a very odd order. While this place had plenty of staff, but they were to busy chatting to all these long term customers to pay attention to new ones. I phoned in my pizza was told 15 minutes for to be ready, I was at ther store maybe a little bit before the 15-minute Mark, which is fine I don't want an undercooked Pizza. But I go ahead and pay and go take a seat play on my phone for about 5 minutes. Then I get a little antsy stand up walk around, but the staff is still just talking to old timers. Finally the older guy that was on the pizza oven walks by with a slice of his own pizza and a drink and asked me what I was waiting on and I told them what kind of pizza i had and he goes and gets my pizza that had been sitting on top of the oven for 10 minutes. The main pizza maker knew he screwed up and threw out a sorry as I walked out. Too late though you already wasted my time.
