Our first PITA experience was a good one. The location was easy to find, parking was available, and we were impressed with the level of cleanliness.
We chose the restaurant because we were passing through headed home from vacation in June 2022. We found great Google reviews, and relied on the menus found online. An important note, the menu has changed slightly and prices have increased by a couple of dollars per meal. There is no longer cilantro hummus available. I included updated menu photos in my pics.
We ordered at the register, took a number, made our own drinks, and seated ourselves. The decor is upbeat and the video screens on the walls were attention grabbing and filled with colorful menu items and specials.
I opted for the steak skewer meal w/2 sides. The rice was my favorite...perfectly seasoned and so full of flavor. I upgraded to a Greek salad as my second side and it was very good, too. The steak was good, just a bit dry, so I opted to buy a single serving of red pepper hummus ($2.70) in a condiment sized cup to go with the pitas and meat. The hummus was so good! I just wish the portion was a little bigger for the cost. Such a bright plate of food, and the portions were plentiful.
My friend ordered the loaded fries with gyro meat and we all kept grabbing for more. My daughter ordered the kids chicken bites and loved them. It tasted fresh and light, and was such a nice alternative to fast food tenders/nuggets. Her meal was served with a sealed cup of ranch, a side of her choice (fries), and a bag of animal crackers.
Our three meals and drinks...
Read moreThe SERVICE is horrible! I ordered pick up and based on the website choices I did order wrong. I thought I was order a gyro wrapped in Pita bread. I didn't even know ANYONE did a gyro in an actual wrap! Instead of the rude woman understanding a patrion she kept cutting me off as I was starting my sentence and horribly explaining the options. When I showed her what I clicked on I explained that a lot of Mediterranean placed offer the pita bread, not wrapped, wrapped or gluten free. I did realize wrapped was an actual wrap!!!
Then I said I didn't want it and if I can order what I actually wanted. The young lady proceeded to the register and she couldn't even find what I want, though it's an option! The same rude women then, this really set me off, wanted me to go to the kiosk to place my order!!! There wasn't anyone waiting, plus I'm a customer. That did it, I said "I'm right here why do I need to go to the kiosk to do my order? I've been here a couple of times with no issues!" I left and as I was leaving I told her she was very rude!
I've been in customer service for over 3 decades and I would NEVER speak or treat ANYONE the way I was treated. Though I made the mistake as a representative I would have assisted in a resolution, period.
Not only did they lose a once a week customer. Now they have a bad review. The food is okay, but it isn't the best Mediterranean food. After I left there I went to my spot I typically go to, which is Grecian Gyro, the BEST...
Read moreIf it's important for you to get value for your money, this place is the wrong one. The portions are much smaller than the pictures and the presentation is nowhere close to what is advertised. The server didn't seem to have any interest in providing a good service. The table was dirty and we had to ask for it to get cleaned up. The restaurant was empty so you'd think the tables would be clean and ready for use. The prices were pretty high for what you get. My chicken shawarma was pretty much lots of rise with two spoons of chicken. The falafel were preheated and taste was off. They also served us in to go boxes for everything and we had to ask for plates so we could enjoy our dinning-in experience. The energy of the employees just didn't seem right and we definitely are not coming back. Nor do we recommend this spot for...
