To start off, if I could have given this a zero star, I would have. Where do I even start with this place? I guess with the fact my fiance and I reserved a room with a king size non-smoking bedroom 11 days before our trip (the photos were gorgeous at the rate we were paying). When we arrived, they claimed that the room we had reserved was not available due to some other guests extending their stay. They offered us the king size bed in the smoking section. We decided to take a look. Should have known from that room that something was wrong. It was so hot, dark, and stuffy in the room, the weather outside was like fall weather (it was sunny and 93° outside). The lights hardly worked in the room. The smell was overbearing with heavy bleach. We decided to ask for another room. The only other one available had double beds. It was a little better than the first, but still dark and hot. The floor was oily and disgusting. Had to keep our shoes on unless getting in the bed or shower. Even then, our feet were black on the bottoms. I did a test the first day we were there with some clean tissue (accidentally dropped it on the floor) and on our check out date, it was still in the same place and position it was in from day one. The toilet seat was not the right size so if you weren't careful, your skin would touch the toilet bowl. The bed sheets were never changed while we were there and there were spots on the pillow cases. The appliances (TV and microwave) were a joke. The TV buttons wouldn't work and no remote in the room. Was able to get a remote on the 3rd day even though we asked for one the day before then. The microwave seemed possessed and would run by itself without you hitting any buttons. Even if you hit the buttons, it would not register the timer. Plus you had to unplug the fridge just to use it. The towels were disgusting. They had unknown spots and streaks on them even though they were put up as "clean". The electrical work was horrible. Looked like it had not been updated since the early 90's. I almost got shocked by the lamp several times (this is due to the fact you had to unplug it all the time because the button was bashed in). When the A.C. kicked on, it sounded like someone in a truck was revving their engine. The paint job was almost like someone threw a can of paint at the wall and claimed they were done. The sink was stained with something. There were no face plates on the outlets and the fire alarm looked like it had been ripped out because there were wires sticking out of the wall. Saw bugs in the room the last night there. Couldn't get a refund for anything even if we tried. Every time we saw the staff, they were sitting outside talking and smoking then stared at us as we walked to our car. The pictures you see for the website are a lie! Don't waste your time or money staying here. I wouldn't wish anyone to have to stay here. Maybe if the staff cleaned more instead of sitting around, it might be...
Read moreAfter an actually decent stay at this property last year (in town for an SCA event and again this year), I gave it a shot to stay again this year. Wow. Talk about a 180 from what I had last time. Let me run this down by the numbers. 1. Room location on far side of the complex, a bit out of the way and a twee bit uncomfortable for a female traveling alone. 2. Upon walking in, the first thing I see is an industrial bug bomb in the middle of the room next to the bed (more on this later). 3. The carpet not only needs vacuuming around the perimeter of the room, the entire carpet appears in need of vacuuming and cleaning. 4. There was no iron, and the smoke alarm appeared to not be connected nor have a battery in it. ||Now, back to the bug bomb thing. I found out later that evening why it had been done, as a smallish roach crawled out from behind the wall mirror next to the desk. I squashed and flushed it, and kept an eye out for any more. Although I did not see any more during my stay, I did realize what became a bit of an issue for someone who suffers from asthma. The room had been bombed and not cleaned up afterward. Meaning ALL the surfaces, AND THE BED LINENS were coated in insecticide. Yup, they'd bombed the room AFTER it had been made up and didn't bother to replace the sheets and bedspread, nor the towels (although they didn't seem to have the obvious chemical smell of the bed linens). ||As I had to get up and out early the next morning, I didn't speak to the FD at that point. However, I DID put the Do Not Disturb sign on my door as I did not wish my room to be serviced while I was out for the day. When I got back to my room that evening, I noticed the maid was further down past my room. When I went in to change and freshen up to go out to dinner, I realized that she HAD entered my room even though I had the DND on the door (and which was still hanging on it when I got back), due to a washcloth I'd set on the edge of the tub that morning being gone. Interestingly enough she hadn't bothered to empty the full trash can, nor refill the kleenex that was empty. Nor did she straighten the bed. ||Fortunately I was wearing my valuables, however my biggest concern was the fact that I had to check the prescription medication that I had laid out on the desk. It did not appear to have been disturbed. ||I did notify the Front Desk clerk about the bug bomb and the fact that the maid had entered against my DND on the door. She appeared somewhat upset, but regardless, that room should not have been rented until it had been properly cleaned and refreshed. ||Next year I'll just buck up and stay at a...
Read moreNO THANKS!!!! I did one star because it made me do one to post!!! it didn't need one I say no stars!!!!!! This was by far the worse experience ever!!!! The so called General manager Brencie Pittmon is by far the most rude person I have ever came into contact with!!!!! I booked our rooms (3 with double beds) a week before our scheduled time to go on choice privileges. Of course I am only one person I personally wouldn't be staying in every room I had booked (this will make sense later in the story) My husband is in a gospel music group and they were scheduled to be at a church in Mount Zion Sunday morning. Some of the group arrived before me and was going to go ahead and check in. The reservation was under my name but the card we used to secure the reservation was in one of the other girls, and she was there! Needless to say they get there and Brencie Pittmon (general manager) began to tell them she had worked a double she was tired and on and on. All the while she is training someone. Something is said about a smoking room well I had made my reservation for a non smoking. So one of my party says Im not staying in a smoking room. So the "general manager" then informs them she is cancelling our reservation! They call me and I'm trying to work everything out so I call the motel. I said yes part of my party is there and they are saying someone has cancelled my reservation. Can you please tell me what's going on. The young man that answers said let me get you to my manager. She gets on the line and I ask her the same question. She then proceeded to tell me that they can't be the ones to check in because it's in my name. No biggie I think so I tell her ok that's fine I'm about 30 minutes out. She said NO I have cancelled your reservation. I asked her if they can't check in without me there why she could just cancel my reservation without me there. I guess she didn't like that cause she hung up on me. Then when I called back to get her name to talk to someone over her she hung up on me AGAIN! I'm sorry but that might be some of the worse customer service in history. So I was hung up on 3 times and my reservation for 3 rooms was cancelled before I even made it to Carrollton Ga. Not to mention the people that was there said it looked fithy, there was mattresses against windows and seemed to be in a shady naborhood. If you want my advice just go stay at the Quality inn in Breman that's what I did Michael was amazing there even gave me a price cut for the trouble I had with the "awesome general manager" at the...
