Pollard's Restaurant — Restaurant in Carrollton

We were passing through Carrollton and happened upon this small local place. Don't be put off by the fact that it is attached to a gas station... what it lacks in curb appeal it more than makes up for in delicious home cooking at very reasonable prices!

I had a hand made sausage patty, egg and cheese on a home made biscuit sandwich, and cheesy hash browns that were PERFECT! My wife had the special mexican omelette (don't know if this is there every day, as it was on a chalkboard and not on the menu), and she loved that too. We left with empty plates, full stomachs, and big smiles to start our day. I'll definitely be going back if I'm ever in the area.

We LOVE the Diner! We started going when we moved to Carrollton, around 3 years ago, and we try to go every Saturday now. It has become such a core part of our lives that our daughter knows the names of the lovely people who work there, and wakes up excited to go every Saturday.

The food is excellent! We mostly eat breakfast, and it stacks up in quality higher than any other breakfast place. It's miles ahead of Waffle House and IHOP, and comes out significantly CHEAPER than any other breakfast place I've found. I don't often eat the lunch, but I can say enough good things about their burgers at least; they are among the best in town.

First time visit on a whelm. Never heard of this restaurant and did not realize that it was in operation. My husband and I stopped in for breakfast and dined in. No host was available but we were advised that we could sit anywhere we'd like. Tight sitting but multiple booths available along the side walls. Most condiments are available at your table. Service was welcoming, patient, and timely. The menu was fair and reasonable. Great options for the southern style taste. Food was fulfilling and just right. Not too hot and definitely not cold. We plan to visit again on our next spare of the moment/off day adventure. Maybe next time we will try...
