Longview Park — Attraction in Carrollton

🐾🧡🐾 I went there today, (6-30-24) to check out the dog part. I was very excited that my dogs will be able to get the play on some doggy courses something that they can run up and run down they could run through but to my dismay, I got there; if it had not been for the Dog park sign, I would have missed it, but as I took my dogs out there, I noticed that there were plenty of doggy bags out there to pick up the poop, and there was a good many trash bags and trash cans out there, and a place for the dog to get water, but I was very upset. Upset By the way the park looked. It was very trashy very rundown, someone needs to go out there and clean up that park put new optical course out for them. New jumping items out there because it really really looks bad. I was very disappointed. In fact I was embarrassed! The county or whomever takes care of this is not doing a very good job of it. I would not recommend this park to anyone. I don’t think I will be going back. They need to shut that park down because it’s not a park to take your animal to very very disappointed. What was there, due to the fact because it was so nasty, somebody needs to go in there and do an overall inspection on this park, and as I said, put new Optical courses for the dogs to play on. I went to check out the dog park. The only down side was that it is hidden behind the tennis courts. If I had not been looking for the dog park I would have missed it. It is surrounded by trees, so even on this extremely hot summer morning it provided some shade. As far as cleanliness, there was no trash or dog waste & this was a plus. The doggy waste bags were plentiful. There’s numerous obstacles for a four legged baby to explore. I filled up the water bowl for him. used to be a great place to take your dog the city parks and rec has let it go completely downhill the water fountains didn't work for nearly a year and now they have pipe stubbed up that I'm hoping isnt their permanent solution. fences usually stay overgrown and the equipment for dogs is broke... seems like they could have taken a little money from the massive tennis court overhaul and put a little into the dog park... they need to ride to Newnan and take a look at their dog park to get an idea of what a decent...
