SOL Venue — Restaurant in Carson

Terrible. I give 2 stars for the interior, however I visited this location to set-up a party. When we arrived, there was no one there to let us in. The person who was having the party that we were setting up could not contact anyone. Apparently, this place has no direct phone number to an ACTUAL PERSON (nope, not even in case of an emergency). We waited, while having heavy furniture and props delivered from vendors, TWO HOURS before they sent us a key code to enter the venue. Pft. Think that's it? Not even. Once we're FINALLY INSIDE the venue, we start set-up. Being TWO WHOLE HOURS BEHIND, we are now rushing. We went inside looking for lights to which we could not find. There were very low lights turned on but it was still very dark. In the process of dragging heavy furniture and props inside the venue, we notice a police car pull up. Yes, they were there for us. Apparently, there was an alarm system in place, and you got it, they didn't tell us or give us the code. Obviously since we were bringing things in and not taking them out, they understood what we were doing. Officer told us the alarm would keep going off and they would keep coming out if we didn't shut it off, but we couldn't. Contacted venue again for code, no response. AN HOUR LATER someone from the venue comes over!!! He shuts off the alarm, turns on the lights, and then says "I'm sorry, someone should've been here". After we tell him everything that happened and asked if he would be there he simply replied "No. I don't work Sunday's". The client paid $200 for our services for the lost hours because of their unprofessional negligence. By the way, I would never personally book a venue that doesn't have a direct number to a human. I haven’t been here in at least 10 years when it was a club & let me tell y’all I’m so impressed with the ambiance, it’s amazing! it’s very classy with a nice spacious clean layout. I’m looking forward to planning my 27th birthday thanks to Jordan who’s provided me with all the information and even took the initiative to sign me up and work with me until it’s time to party at SOL Venue. This venue is awesome! It kinda blew my mind how such a dope space could be hidden away for so long! I had no idea this place was here. I went to the Eeic Bellinger show a few days ago and it was insane! It's like small so it's intimate, you feel like the artist is right there, because they are! Sound was crazy good! (Really didn't expect that from how many wooden walls they had there). I don't drink too much, but I heard the drinks were great too. All in all me and the gang had a great night!...
