La Esquina Del Sabor Restaurant — Restaurant in Carteret

Got there at 7:40 to order food, sign and menu say open till 10pm. Asked to get a dish with only shrimp and the chef I can hear starts complaining " doesn't he know we close soon " after that I wondered how fresh could the food be? I ordered anyways, even after seeing the high prices. Higher then any other Peruvian restaurant in a 10 mile radius, I'm thinking the food must be good. Nope, not even close. It tasted like it was the end of the day and this is what was leftover, the women behind the counter was great but I would never waste money in this restaurant again. AVOID THIS PLACE THEY ARE LAZY AND LIARS... I CALLED AT 4:30 PM TO PLACE AN ORDER FOR DELIVERY.. THE LADY SAYS WE DONT DO DELIVERIES TILL AFTER 6 PM..COOL NO WORRIES.. I WAITED TILL 6 PM ON THE DOT.. FOR HER TO THEN TELL ME NO WE ONLY DO PICKUPS. I TELL HER YOU TOLD ME YOU GUYS DELIVER AFTER 6 PM..SHE PAUSES ON THE PHONE TALKS TO THE DELIVERY GUY..FEW SECONDS LATER SHE SAYS NO THE DRIVER HAS TOO MANY ORDERS ....B.S I WONT WASTE MY TIME HERE ANY MORE WITH...

Food is always good. We order from here every now and then because they don't speak English or don't like to speak it. It's always a language barrier. They only take cash, Zell or cash app, which can be annoying, the man in the restaurant told me I should speak Spanish which I thought was rude because they are in an English speaking country. I still placed my order, though. They should have a bilingual person in stores that they do not speak or care...
