I agree with the other reviewers here; some of the staff are not helpful at all. My previous visits were fantastic with new staff being trained, but today I had a simple question that wasn't answered clearly, and I was interrupted with unnecessary explanations. It's important to listen to the customer before speaking! The lady saw my confusion and instructed me to grab an envelope and change the packaging without providing details. Seeing me struggle, I asked the question again for clarity to avoid future issues and extra costs. Then, an older gentleman started making noises, laughing, and giving his opinion without being asked, almost immediately after arriving at the facility. I had to address him, which made the situation more uncomfortable. In the end, I had to call a supervisor to get my questions answered. The staff's behavior and poor communication were the main issues. Listening to the question first and then providing a clear response is essential. Instead, the staff member kept cutting me off and did nothing while I struggled. Eventually, the manager clarified my question in 30 seconds. The lady who assisted me seems to be a long-time employee but might continue causing problems for customers for years to come. Clerk 02, if you're reading this, please change your behavior or find a job you enjoy because it seems you're miserable working for USPS. I didn’t report all of these issues to the manager because I only wanted my question answered. When I was leaving, I said thank you to everyone and apologized for the inconvenience to the lady, but she just looked at me like I was in the wrong. That’s the main motivation for me leaving this long negative review. Since I shared my positive experience before by leaving a nice review using the QR code on the receipt, it's only fair that I do the same this time by providing feedback about my experience today. I’ll definitely do that later!

Pleasant Experience at Carteret USPS I’m honestly surprised by some of the negative reviews about the Carteret Post Office, because my experience has always been very positive. Sure, there can be a wait sometimes—but that’s the case at almost any post office. What really stands out to me is how polite and friendly the staff are every time I visit. Tiffany, in particular, is always so nice and upbeat. She brings a positive energy that makes the whole experience more pleasant. Everyone there seems to genuinely try to help, and it shows. All in all, I’ve consistently received great service here, and I appreciate the professionalism and courtesy of the team.

Wow I guess the reviews are correct, I usually do not leave bad reviews but I go to this office since it’s nearby, I usually go to ship items. I go in present my QR code and the women there are fast and nice but today 11/27/23 there was a long line around 3pm. The lady by the name of megan, guess she was stressed and had told people to go to her if it’s a “drop off” I’m not too familiar so I had my package as usual all taped up and ready for them to print a label from my QR code, she had I believe a tattoo on her collarbone or neck, she had glasses; she then said “this isn’t a drop off, you need to be prepared & kept repeating it needs to have a label to be a drop off” you can feel the tone and attitude of some but her she just spoke it out infront of customers & staff. That’s not the way to go about things or any type of customer service, I always go and show my QR code and this time I guess it was not a drop off (bc I use QR codes) which is my mistake but it’s not the way to treat someone & this needs to be addressed ASAP or change of staff to personnel who do not...

I had the worst experience ever!!! I am the sweetest person ever. However it was a beautiful day today and as soon as i stepped into this post office my energy level was automatically shut down as the clerk who is short african American skinny today working in the front was so rude to me she scared me with her tone i was shaking inside. She refused to scan my package and made me seem like i was doing something wrong, reminde you i go to ship my package often here and i never ever had any problems…this specific clerk did not want to do her job she was moody and was speaking in a rude tone and told me my package needs a bar code but i explained i had a QR code… her actions were telling me to just leave and come back when shes not there…. But i stayed and i realized any customer who asked her a question she was rude to them as well. I will try to find out her name and come back with her name but for now… ahe was working today 02/26/24 @ 1:15PM. Hope someone can speak to her aviut her attitude… she really needs to treat customers...
