This was our 2nd time at this location & I was hoping that they would redeem themselves but sadly that did not happen. When we got there, we were immediately informed that they had NO ICE ! It was the 4th of July so you can imagine a cold drink was definitely something we would want. Instead of leaving, we decided just to rough it out & hopefully the food would make up for it. But let me just say, if your ice machine broke but you're right across the street from a Kroger & there's a Target beside you why weren't you sending employees to both of these stores to buy bags of ice? I understand there was a limit that you can buy bc it was the 4th of July but there was several employees that I noticed as soon as we walked in that could have each bought the limit allowed of ice at BOTH stores. Honestly, there really shouldn't have been any reason why there wasn't ice. Our food arrived & let me down even more! Since when did the famous chicken tender plate that Chili's is known for become the size of the kids meal?? My tenders were the tiniest little pieces I've ever seen served on an adult platter in a restaurant! The "NEW" white mac -n-cheese was an even smaller serving that was served in a ramekin sized bowl that was placed on the plate beside the tenders. That should tell you how small it was. I was so disappointed. Our first experience here was awful & our second was even worse especially since we were actually charged for our luke warm, no ice sweet teas! Oh! But there was ice....... reserved only for ppl ordering alcoholic drinks! That's what really chapped my arse. We went an hour before closing so there was absolutely no reason why we couldn't be served ice in our drinks. One alcoholic beverage was made the entire time we were there & when the lady made the drink she was quite loud with scooping out the ice & shoving the spoon back into the cooler. So, please tell me why we were served nasty, warm sweet tea when there was enough ice to serve everyone that was left in the restaurant a nice, cold beverage???? Our server got an attitude also when we needed her attention bc we had a gift card to pay for some of our meal, a gift card we received last time bc our dining experience was awful! We will NEVER go back to this location...
Read moreThe experience started with the hostess as well were lead to a table in the bar area that wasn't good to the children. We asked for a different table and the hostess makes that face like we all know and loathe...like an immature child that knows that you are annoying them. There is a laminated menu under the booth that we are then shown and my four year old grandson's foot slides on it and his face impacts against the edge of the table. He starts crying and the hostess smiles and giggles and she flounces away, very happy, now. A waitress, Robin comes up immediately and brings me the ice pack that I request and some cold canned juices to place against his face if the ice pack is to cold for him. The evening reached a new level of petty when the food that I ordered for the grandchildren came out wrong, brought to the table by a food runner, who then expected me to fix Chili's mistakes. And as I am engaged in conversation with the food runner, the hostess is staring at us, smiling and very pleased that there is a problem as she makes a little wave at us. I spoke with an on duty manager immediately and she as apologetic and refused my offer to pay for the drinks. We left and I will never return to the Cartersville Chili's while the level of unprofessional behavior continues with their host/hostess staff. Chili's menu is good and the foid usually correct and well prepared and the server and management were professional, but finding humor in a 4 year old child being hurt is unacceptable. There are other Chili's to eat at and we are doing them the favor by eating at their establishment. I am greatly disappointed and annoyed with this experience at Chili's and I will hope that Chili's reevaluates the Welcome staff and either offers retraining in a way that represents Chili's in a more positive and professional manner or allows that team the opportunity to pursue other...
Read moreJust terrible!!! From a former restaurant mananger, server, and a current business owner. This place will not get any business from my family anymore. We come in and our server was nice. She was really busy and I saw that from the jump. She had like an 8 top, a six top, a four top, and a two top not including mine so I knew it would be a while. Being a former server I was ok with that. She really did a good job. But our appitezer came out freezing cold! It was the skillet queso. We informed her it was not up to temp. She brought it back and it was still freezing cold! Who is doing the temp checks in the kitchen? So after the third time it was hot so we ate it. Then we wait 45 minutes to an hour for our entrees to come out! And it was cold as well!! My girlfriend ordered the guacamole burger and I got the Smokey combo. When my combo came out the food runner informed me that they didn't have enough of the chicken crispers for my order so they would bring out the rest?!?!? And they didn't even put my roasted corn with my entree. I had no words at all for there management because all they were gonna do is comp my order and its not about the money. The owner needs to check that entire kitchen and management team. It's ashame that the server has to be the face that comes to the tables for...
