Visited this location with my mother and fiancé. The most uncomfortable shopping experience I have ever experienced. The gentleman greeting customers as we entered facial expressions immediately changed. We shopped while being followed and stared at the entire time (staff to be clear). I noticed no one else in the store who were different than us experienced this treatment. We all entered the line preparing to purchase our items, as intended when we entered the facility. The cashier started scanning our items, she didn’t say hello, she didn’t say anything. I said hello, the young lady still says nothing. Again, I say hello how are you? She then speaks hello... she continues to scan our items , two didn’t have price stickers. Set of sheets and a $20 purse. I wanted them so I asked her to find out. She radios someone , making sure she made her suspicions clear (as though we took the tags off). Check your store you have several items without stickers!! . I wasn’t done shopping but felt completely uncomfortable and decided to leave the facility ending my shopping experience early. My total was about $300, we purchased and left. I wont ever visit again and wanted others like me to be aware. They aren’t accustom to seeing many...
Read moreEvery time I’m in here the lady who I would assume is the manager (super long thick blinding-brown extension-like looking hair) is standing around doing nothing..except for loudly embarrassing and reprimanding employees. It’s so uncomfortable and unprofessional. I don’t know how they work there with her.
It’s every single time I go in.
Today I can hear someone literally yelling and cussing in what I assume is the break room in the back. I think “wow how unprofessional and plain out obnoxious” I then see her walk out. From behind I think “oh…teenager. Figures….” Then to my surprise I see her old face. Nope, at the grown age of at leash 50+ it’s her speaking this way at work.
Then I get to the registers.. Line full of people with two cashiers working. What is she doing you might ask? She’s doing what she is doing every time I come in. Standing at the register, looking at her phone, and loudly barking out orders to employees.
Girl, it’s tj maxx not the White House. You’re not that important and it’s not that serious.
Get off your high horse prancing around like you’re Barbie or Queen of the world. Lower your voice, get off your phone, and actually do something productive and help your staff...
Read moreI haven't shopped at TJ Maxx for over a year & never during Christmas shopping. My friend was in town & needed to pick up a new shirt for himself. I expressed doubt at finding him a shirt because then menswear department has fewer choices than the women's department. But because of holiday shopping, TJ Maxx had increased all of the departments' inventory. We found him a shirt & just walked around. I was amazed at the selection! Great furniture items, lots of bedding, linens, women's clothing, kitchen items, pet beds, jewelry, bath items for men & women. We bought his shirt, a teak cutting board, a sink protector, a coffee mug with goodies inside & a cute pair of costume jewelry earrings. And the checkout was fairly speedy despite the line. I thanked our cashier for there, for working during the health crisis. Speaking of health crises, my friend noted that too many shopper were mask-less & he wanted to get out in a hurry. I agree - while free masks & a sign stating "masks required" were at the front door, many, many shoppers & children were mask-less. Aside for the unenforced mask requirement, it was a successful & easy...
