Maine Street Cuisine in Cartersville watch out because you have some competition in town! We are usually not seafood fans, and only seek it out when we have a craving. We understand proximity to the ocean is important for fresh fish, and in northwest georgia that can be hard to find. Mariscos has bright acidic flavors, and a surprisingly versatile menu. We were skeptical because of the location- but tried it on a whim and boy are we glad we did! The standout menu items for us where the ceviche and shrimp empanadas. We played it safe getting the salmon and boy i wish we had chosen something else. The salmon was fair, but the flavor wasn’t there for us mostly because it was overshadowed by how incredible the ceviche and empanadas were. The hot sauces are the HOTTEST you will find in this area - not the tomato sauce salsa I find in every tex mex restaurant. This restaurant features aguas frescas something I struggle to find at restaurants in this area. If it was between this coastal restaurant and Maine street I would pick this one because of the creative flavors. The interior is simple and clean. The service is outstanding, although our server admitted to us she was new and still learning, her bright and friendly personality made it a pleasure! If she reads this - the Margarita was too sweet but not so bad we would send it back. All in all we loved it and will...

I was in the mood for wings and had seen they had wings on the menu. I had been to several places and their "hot" wings...were mild or medium at best. Authentic Mexican places usually have some good spice available, so that combined...I figured I'd try them out.

Went in during the 1 - 2 pm time frame and it was empty. While I was there, a family came in and sat down. I ordered my wings hot, 1 carne asada taco, and a drink. They brought me my drink and a complimentary tostada. Along with the tostada, they brought a couple different sauces to include a hot/spicy sauce that looked like they made it in-house. The sauce...definitely had some kick to it and good flavor. Talking about flavor...that tostada...I could have had 100 of them. Delicious!

Next out was my taco and wings. When I ordered the taco, it was $3.50 and I was like WHAT!?! Let me tell you...they put a whole steak on that thing. The flavor was spot on! Unfortunately, I ate that thing faster than I could take a picture of it. Worth every penny.

The wings were up next. They were meaty and flavorful. Spice was perfect for hot wings. Even more so when you put that other sauce on it...definitely will make you feel something. These are definitely among some of the best wings you can find in town.

This is a nice looking place with great service and even better food! Check it...

Good Food but HORRIBLE customer service and fish tacos are over priced. I will NEVER go again. They use DoorDash as an online ordering vendor which is what I used to order my food for pickup. Unfortunately, they did not know how to use the system and refused to give me my food until I pressed some button that didn’t exist for me. So as my food sat getting cold they said they were calling DoorDash to see what to do because they wouldn’t get paid. After still patiently waiting and still being refused my food and being told I can’t take the food because someone stole before me, I called Door dash myself and handled the situation. They didn’t say sorry, offer to redo my cold tacos, or even ask did I need a drink or anything. I honestly think they were profiling me 🤷🏾‍♀️ however two fish tacos aren’t...
