if this is a local diner, then the locals don’t know what they’re eating. I ordered a hamburger and fries and I did not hear anything cooking on the grill, but it was delivered within two minutes and when I looked at the burger and the fries, they were cold when I asked if they were fresh they told me yes they’re cooked fresh every morning, but this was at lunchtime! The burger looked homemade on a store-bought bun and the fries look frozen. I was repulsed and could not eat it. On the plus side the Diet Coke from the fountain was good and was an alternative to paying $.75 for a water from the fountain not even a bottle. I had to refuse to eat there and they did not charge me and I offered to pay for the Diet Coke, but they told me no problem and gave it to me for free. That’s the only positive thing I can say because I suspect if I ate there I would’ve had such bad diarrhea that I would’ve had to have let it go through the screen door on my way out. I can’t imagine how this place stays...
Read moreIf I could give no stars, I would... we walked in near closing and the counters were dirty. They weren't very friendly and They were out of fries. My dad ordered a burger, the lady did not wash her hands or use gloves to build our orders, the patty was in a "warmer" and and the bun was falling apart and looked a little old. My mom ordered a hotdog, bc we saw what the burger looked like, and the bun was ripped apart, and covered in watery chilly. I ordered a burger... my patty was lukewarm at best, the cheese was just thrown on top, the bun and patty was falling apart. None of us finished our meal. And the guy taking out the trash laid the filthy trashcan lid on the counter right in front of us. .. This was the worst burger I've ever had, and the dirtiest diner I've ever been in. Do...
Read moreI am certain that this place would be far better had we went early in the day. We made the unfortunate mistake of going 30 minutes before close. Everything had clearly been sitting out for a while. The hamburger and fries were both cold. I didn’t say anything, but my friend complained about his fries and they put his back in the fryer for an extra moment and they told us that at this point in the day they really just want to go home. The cobbler was the only thing I was served that was hot. So, I got the impression that if you weren’t going for lunch at noon you weren’t going to get fresh food. Ultimately a disappointing experience for a place that everyone hyped up as the hundred year old burger place. Not sure if I’d try it...
