Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Carthage

Waited in drive-thru for over 20 minutes for a wrap, smoothie, and side fruit. From the time I placed my order and pulled up to the window, and when they actually took my card it was 10 minutes. I was the first one in line and by the time I got my food, four other cars behind me had pulled out of line and left. I told this to the man working the drive-thru and he didn't seem to care.

As I got ready to pull away I looked in my bag and found they had forgotten my fruit. I then had to pull in and go into the restaurant and let the girl working the counter know. She was very gracious and allowed me to grab some out of the basket on the counter.

The actual wrap was nothing special, just the usual Frozen sandwich that had been microwaved. Although they did toast the outside which did improve the flavor somewhat.

Let's hope their customer service and food prep time improve because they definitely aren't going to get loyal customers based on the taste of their food alone.

Having a new Tropical Smoothie is awesome! I recommend that you just be patient when ordering food. They have a lot of orders coming in, so they can get behind at times. Also, as of the time of this review, they did run out of some food items. Just be patient, and they will have it restocked in no time. They do have a convenient drive thru, and a small seating area inside, with a couple patio tables as well. Their smoothies are delicious and not over priced, and they have a good selection of sandwiches, and other great items.

Lastly, this is not a negative review, simply informative. Their staff is friendly and helpful. So, I plan to go back when I can, and recommend Tropical...

When I asked about gluten free options I was handed a card with a list of gluten free options which included apples potatoes chips, lettuce and a handful of other items. The man behind the counter offered a salad but only if I take out the chicken because it's processed meat. But I could have turkey which truth be know it too is probably processed lunch meat. Then I asked about the dressings and he stomped off to go check. We then decided to leave because of his attitude. Hey Mr. I didn't choose this allergy it picked me.
