Taco Town — Restaurant in Carthage

I'm not one to leave bad reviews I'm normally good at bomb a** reviews but a 1 star was way to much for this place! I have traveled coast to coast town to town state to state I have eaten at some pretty sketchy ran down places that should have been closed bc of the way it looked but nevermind that let's talk about Taco Town me n my husband ate here tonight should have went to real Mexican but wanted to give this place a try well I should of thought different! We order almost $30 worth of food to just throw away! The cheese dip isn't real cheese it can't be n it was cold I got the deluxe nachos there was nothing really on it but cheese n beans he got enchiladas dinner n he said they tasted microwaved n wasn't any good I have read good n bad reviews about this place all I can say is I guess some peoples taste buds r different then others bc this place will not see me or my money after this!!!! The works were nice n the place has a great welcoming when walking-in but the food needs work I'm srry I had to save the next person that wanted tex-mex bc this isn't the place...

two White guys and a Mexican walk into a taco joint..

Was passing through on the way from OK to IA and stopped for gas at the Casey’s across the parking lot. We decided to grab lunch at taco town instead of getting gas station food as we eat a lot of it traveling for work so much. Me and one of the other guys on the crew ordered and paid before our Hispanic friend walked in the door, he took a look at the menu, the staff, and the corny sign using tacos to cross the T’s and said f@&$ this and went to get gas station food. Needless to say we should have left our food there and ate at Casey’s. The tacos were cold, and tasted like...

A few years ago I had an experience with roaches in my food. After some debate, I decided to give this place another try. I picked up 30 bucks worth of some of the worst food I've ever had. They said the tacos were 100% beef, wrong; it has some kind of crushed oats in it. The onions were clearly near spoiled with a foul oder. The staff was polite though. I didn't recieve a good part of the food I ordered, not really even upset at this point. I just wish I would have inspected or tasted it before driving 10 miles home as I would have demanded a refund. Most disappointing place in the 4states. I absolutely do not recommend. Go...
