Monica @ Halo Salon did my wedding day hair and was awesome! I had originally planned for a friend to do my hair but a week and a half before the wedding she broke her collar bone and was unable to raise her right arm ā which makes it pretty difficult to do hair. (sheās fine now!) This left me in a mad dash to find someone who was free on a Saturday morning a week away. From what I understand Monica moved her schedule around to fit me in (on Saturday and during the week before for a trial!) and I will be forever grateful for her. When I went in for the trial, my appointment hadnāt been booked so Monica pushed it back an hour (not her fault ā there was a miscommunication I think) and Iām pretty sure she stayed late to do my trial. I had extensions, and although she said she hadnāt worked with them much before she got them in better than I can! She played around with it a bit, and was super friendly. At the end of it, we didnāt have it exactly how I wanted but I felt confident that we were both on the same page and she knew what I was thinking ā and I was right. The day of the wedding, she came and fixed it and it was beautiful. My only complaint was that it was slightly messier than I was thinking, and not all pieces got pinned (It was a side braid with strands tucked in and out of it and some werenāt in the pony at the bottom) but I think that was a style choice to make it look a little fuller (Iām no expert) The other girl from Halo (Iām so sorry I donāt remember her name) was able to put 3 of my girls in formal buns in record time, and even had some extra time to do my momās hair (Thank you!!) Total, it was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I was happy to have someone able to do it on such short notice. Overall, I was super happy with all the styles and would book with Halo...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTaylor is definitely a color expert! I have been completely white headed for 10-15 years but have been coloring my hair my natural shade of dark brown for nearly 30 years! I've wanted to go naturally gray for the last several years but couldn't stand the thought of suffering through the transition phase with gray roots and dark brown ends! Yuck! So, I just kept coloring my hair, until recently that is, when Taylor suggested adding blonde highlights and toner to blend the gray while my hair grows out. I was hesitant at first but soon realized how much better (and younger) I look without the "dark dyed look!" My hair looks amazing! The old color is not gone yet but we're getting there. If you're thinking of adding highlights or going gray, call Taylor! She is extraordinary with color! (Special thanks to Riley, who assists Taylor. She keeps things moving so I can get in and out as quickly as possible.) P.S. Ask them about K-tips when you're there; absolutely the greatest new thing for hair since the invention of the blow...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this Salon! I am very picky, I do not like to leave feeling like my hair has been damaged after coloring my hair: Iāve been highlighting my hair in salons since I was 12 and I am about to turn 31. I donāt think I have ever left a salon and felt that my hair felt better leaving and than coming in. Today when I got my hair done I left with silky smooth feeling hair. The color line in the salon is incredible and clearly reparative! The stylists who work here are also phenomenal and very friendly. I will be recommending the salon to my friends. Taylor did my hair today, FYI. The other stylists seemed very capable as well. I love that I finally found a salon in the area that I truly LOVE going to. Yay for a...
