ALDI — Local services in Carthage

I've been going to this Aldi for years and have always had a good experience with staff and the store itself.  This is my favorite place to shop in Carthage.  However I must write this review.

I came in this evening to get a few things for the week and dinner. I didn’t bother with a cart, just put things in my shopping bag. I had just worked 15 hours for I was pretty much the walking dead and looked like it. I gathered my items and go to the register. There is one register open.

A woman by the name of Debra was working. She quickly scans my items without a word hurriedly throwing them into the cart, luckily she didn't throw my eggs. However she was nice enough to throw my bag of asparagus right on top of my bread.  I move my asparagus off my bread and pay. While I'm inputting my info she begins to scan the next customer. After, she shoves my cash and receipt into my hand without a word. It's fine, maybe she doesn't talk much, maybe she's having a bad day. I take my cart and start packing up my groceries.

There are two of us with a cart bagging our groceries. I hear her yell over to me that she needs that cart. There is a cart at the closed register so (not my job!) I go to get her that cart. Except no, that cart NEEDS to stay at the closed register. She needs my cart RIGHT NOW! So, I pull all of my groceries our of my cart and push it over to her. I would have been more than happy to put my empty cart over at the closed register when I was done, all she had to do was ask. It may have been my imagination but the customers in line looked a little shocked by her behavior.

All the while she's being friendly and cheerful to the rest of the customers. I've never had rude interactions from the staff here. They've always been helpful and friendly so I'm a bit shocked.  Maybe she didn't like my 15 hour shift disheveled appearance but I didn't realize I had to fix myself up to go into Aldi. Maybe she didn't like my Dethklok t-shirt. She needs to act like a professional.

This store is a mess! It is not organized or set up in a way that's fast or convenient for Customers. Their isles are too small for multiple customers at a time. There is always some type of cart/carts (employee stock cart) that are randomly left around the store. In my multiple visits I have NEVER seen more then 2 cashiers at any given point, with lines backed all the way into isles. The worst part is the customer service or complete lack thereof is absolutely TERRIBLE. Not all but the staff I managed to interact with here are rude at times as well as very unapproachable and ALWAYS unavailable for any type of assistance other than check out. Anytime that I have been in here I NEVER receive ANY type of communication, aside from being told my total and my change. Nothing more. This is the worst Adi I have ever shopped at and I will NOT...

Yeah, they are much better, after I have given them all the criticism and guidance, they remodeled the store and improved the types of the items. Be good, if they add like bedroom sets, where all is included. But, the store is just small and it is understandable. But, funny 🤣 how all my recommendations were just BINGO. THE SAME WITH THE GYM ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SHOPPING AREA. ME RECORDED, ME ADVICED AND HE BUILT IT. NOW PEOPLE CA GET HEALTHIER. I WANTED TO TRAIN THEM, BUT IT IS NOT FOR AEROBICS AND PILATES. OTHERWISE I WOULD GIVEN THEM MY SYSTEM. BUT, CANNOT. ANYWAY. I WILL GIVE MY SELF A PRAISE GOD CA HEAR IT. HOW GOOD...
