We went to Wendy's 10/14/12 before attending a nearby concert. It was pretty full at first. Maybe, two tables open and about 8 or 9 people in the line. We were in that line for a full 15-20". My companions went to hold a table. By the time we got to the front of the line, the place had cleared with just two or three tables occupied. This was a result of the doors of the concert in the church next door opening. Now, the service was sooo slow and the cashiers extremely low energy. There were three of them behind the two registers and appeared to have a multitude in the back. It was such poor, slow service that it was actually comical for awhile watching them. Others in the line were perplexed or mildly annoyed at the complete lack of energy behind the counter. Fortunately, they weren't getting ugly or vocal. They were using humor to vent. One said whispered to those nearby to not react as surely this was some kind of joke and there were probably hidden cameras catching patrons reactions. Another said if they moved any slower they'd be asleep. It was truly like watching people in slow motion. They all seemed dazed like they had to think and plan every step or movement. They seemed like they were mindnumbingly bored. I understand being tired, especially if you've dealt with a large crowd. But, hey! You've got a job. That puts you ahead of the game. My 10 year old son noted "I know Sonic likes to hire teenagers but at least they smile." I pointed out that the cashiers behind the counter were likely teens to early twenties so it's not an age thing. I just can't imagine a boss not walking in and telling them to step it up and look lively! Once at the counter, I asked the girl for straws as there were none in the customer area. She went to the back for maybe a minute or so. Came back looking lost, then slided my tray towards me for me to take it. She looked to the next customer. I asked again for straws. She wandered around a few seconds then asked the other cashier for straws. That one went and came back w/o them, also. We went to the tables. We were almost done with our food before we saw someone restocking the straws. Humorously slow service. I love Wendy's and admire the man who started it all - Dave. This service would have made him sad. Maybe, they were just all having a bad day at the same time. Hope it's...
Read moreNothing but immature kids running this place in the evening. Waited 20 minutes for cold stale food. There was no one in the drive thru or inside & 4 people working. I could hear them talking & laughing the whole time I waited for my food. No reason for it to have taken that long. I checked my food before leaving & I was upset because it was not fresh at all after waiting that long. I thought well whatever I don’t want to wait even longer so I just went home. When getting home to eat my burger was hard & stale & cold. Fries & nuggets were stale & cold. I tried going up there & getting a refund & explained they never gave me my receipt. The manager told me there was nothing he could do. I asked if he could look up my receipt with the time I was there or by my card & he told me no. I also know the kid at the register could recognize me & could’ve just said yes she was here just 30 minutes ago. The manager then proceeded to laugh in my face with the other kids that work there. How miserable do you have to be to treat someone like that. Especially to someone who had not ate all day & received horrible food & service. Not to mention, the car outside that was honking & trying to get the attention of the kids inside working. Immature. Disrespectful. Higher than a kite kids working. Just...
Read moreI went to Wendys, for something quick to eat for the family. I sat at the speaker box for 8 MINUTES before my order was taken. I then sat at the window for another 15 minutes waiting on the food... the food came, I was so happy. Just to find out that THEY HANDED ME A 4 FOR 4 MEAL... WITH NO SANDWICH. I just had nuggets and fries. On top of all that, they gave me someone else's receipt. When I called to inform them about the mess up... I didn't get an APOLOGY one, just EXCUSES! I will never go back to wendys, and at the pace their going... your going to be out of customers. There are respectable disciplinary actions that SHOULD be used. The first mess up for a single employee calls for a warning, then we move on to a verbal, then a final.. and if the employee still ISN'T PAYING ATTENTION, because let's be real... it's from not paying attention then he gets final and his butt is fired. And fast food workers think their worth 10 bucks an hour. 😂😂 they can't even read a screen correctly. Corporate is no better. Wendys, 2342 Grand Ave, Carthage, MO 64836
