Let me start off by saying our server was SO FRIENDLY and she was great at her job. She was attentive and took very good care of us. This review is in NO way a reflection on her. Our food was beyond mediocre. The food here is so over-rated. We had the Creole Benedict and it was just so so. I am Creole- my family is born and raised in New Orleans area. This is not creole in any way. Secondly, for 10.99 it had very small shrimp, the little ones you get at grocery store for about $3 for a whole bag, and had chopped up bits of ham, chopped up bellpeppers, and some crab ontop of a baguette. The baguette was the size of an appitizer cracker and there were two of them. I will say there was surprisingly a good amount of crab though. The sauce was decent and if it was not for the sauce the dish would have been a complete flop. The grits were bland. I have never had grits this bland ever- homemade, restaurant, or out of the walmart brand box. I was disappointed. The food was just so underwhelming. We are not from this area and based off the reviews were really excited about breakfast. It was definetly not worth the wait, and we will not go back. Again- the server was beyond friendly and she was great! The service in general was wonderful-now only if they could get the food as good as...
Read moreWalked in for a sandwich and french toast today with 45-55 minutes before we had to get our son from school and never had a chance to eat more than a few bites and a few fries. It took over 35 minutes to get the food to our table and were not able to eat. 25 minutes into our wait, the server told us the reason for the delay was that French toast takes longer to make which I find hard to believe. The server was aware that we had been there for half an hour waiting for our food and aware that we would have to leave shortly and just wanted the food to come with enough time for us to eat...but he was both apathetic when we told him how long we had to eat and condescending when we told him we were not happy with how long the order took. We boxed up our uneaten food and went to pay where none of the 3 women there asked about our experience, apologized for the delay, or even thanked us for coming.
It's been many years since we've had service this poor, with such callous disregard for service, and where the server treats you as if you are the problem, not it taking 35 minutes to get French toast and a turkey sandwich.
If you go there to eat...PERPARE TO WAIT, and to be treated as if you the the problem you can't wait an hour for your food. Disappointed doesn't begin...
Read moreWent here with my girlfriend the other week. This place has got some good breakfast food for sure. Some things that we got were a little bit on the disappointing side though. We got the Beignots, which were delicious, the crunch to them was amazing. We also got the Fancy Home fries, which are also a great starter. As for my main meal. I got the mixed berry pancake (they were perfectly made and the berries weren’t overwhelming) combo, with 2 eggs (sunny side up), they were fine, i got the corned beef hash, which was spectacular, i also got a side of the butter grits. These were not that great to be honest, i finished them but there was basically no flavor to them and they were very runny. My girlfriend on the other hand got the chocolate waffles. Let me start with the staff at Brigs did take care of the meal in a very reasonable manner and were super nice about it, but the waffle just had the most chocolate you could imagine. And I’m a huge chocolate fan, I’ll eat it all. The waffle was just way too overloaded with the chocolate chips and it was just goop at one point. Wasn’t a huge fan. Still I highly recommend this spot if you want a good breakfast...
