I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chido Tacos, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped foot into the vibrant and inviting atmosphere, I knew I was in for a fantastic culinary experience.
First and foremost, I have to mention the elote at Chido Tacos. It was simply outstanding! The charred corn was perfectly cooked, and the combination of creamy mayo, queso fresco , and zesty lime made it a truly irresistible treat. The flavors were well-balanced and the elote was bursting with authentic Mexican flair.
Now, let's talk about the tacos. Oh my, where do I even begin? The chicken and steak tacos at Chido Tacos are hands down some of the most delicious tacos I have ever tasted. The meats were tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, creating a mouthwatering symphony of flavors. The tortillas were fresh and warm, providing the perfect vessel to hold the delectable fillings. Every bite was a tantalizing explosion of Mexican culinary excellence.
I must also give a special shout-out to Silvia, our server at Chido Tacos. She was incredibly attentive and sweet throughout our entire visit. Silvia went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Her friendly demeanor and helpful suggestions made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Silvia's outstanding service truly added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal.
In addition to the amazing food and impeccable service, Chido Tacos boasts a vibrant and energetic ambiance. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, creating a lively and festive atmosphere that transports you straight to the heart of Mexico. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or enjoying a solo meal, Chido Tacos is the perfect place to indulge in mouthwatering tacos while immersing yourself in a vibrant cultural experience.
Overall, I highly recommend Chido Tacos to anyone in search of a truly remarkable Mexican dining experience. With its scrumptious elote, heavenly chicken and steak tacos, and the attentive and sweet service provided by Silvia, this place is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise. I can't wait to visit again and continue exploring their menu of culinary delights.

Read moreI walked into Chido Taco and was instantly transported to Mexico!! (I grew up on the border, in El Paso, TX) The way the restaurant smells reminds me of my Tia’s kitchen growing up & the restaurants we would frequent in Ciudad Juarez and downtown El Paso.
The chips are so tasty with the spices that are added to them. Even better with the tasty guac & queso blanco. I had to stop myself from eating all the chips and dip before my order came out! I had some birria rolls - they’re 2 rolls dressed in melted queso and other garnishes. They were delicious and left me satisfied. I also had some consommé with rice and beans - yummmmm. I also had some quesabirria tacos (obvi my fave dish) and they were so yummy with fresh onion and a squeeze of lime. My dad loved the carne asada tacos that he received. My mom had a chicken salad and she was so happy with it. We also tried the chilaquiles - I’ve only had red so this was the first time I tried green - they were really good but my mom was the only one that could handle the heat. The cream it comes with is meant to counter balance the heat though so it wasn’t too bad.
We also had the aguas frescas - jamaica and horchata. I learned that they actually make the aguas frescas from scratch and not from powder like other places do. (For horchata you have to soak rice overnight and Jamaica is made from a flower.) What’s even better is, if you don’t want a traditional coke or an agua fresca, there are also Mexican drinks available. (Jarritos & Topo Chico)
Finally, I had a slice of tres leches, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I like the decor of the restaurant, as well. It reminds me of the colorful-ness of Mexico. This restaurant is one of the most authentic places you can eat for Mexican food!!
I also want to add that the customer service is great. The bathrooms are frequently cleaned and they ensured that we enjoyed...

I ordered 4 tacos at this place on Wednesday. The cashier seemed confused when I requested to make them into a combo with rice and sides. Instead of clarifying, she charged me for 4 individual tacos, added an extra taco I didn’t order, and also charged me for an additional combo totaling $17.48 that I shouldn’t have paid for.
I spoke to the cashier on the spot. She acknowledged the mistake but told me she couldn’t issue a refund immediately and that I’d have to wait 24 hours for it to be processed by Thursday. I agreed and went home. The tacos were average—nothing special.
By Friday, two days later, the refund still hadn’t been issued. I called back, and a manager answered. From the start, she was condescending, accusatory, and argumentative. I calmly reminded her that I had waited 48 hours as a courtesy, and yet I was still not refunded for something I didn’t order or receive.
She began ranting: “It’s only a day extra, the world’s not perfect, time is difficult, nobody’s perfect, mistakes happen, you’re being very disrespectful. I had a family funeral—that’s why I’m late.” This response implied I was being unreasonable for expecting a timely and accurate refund.
To be clear, I’ve been polite and understanding from the beginning. I waited longer than the time your staff told me. If you had responded to me with professionalism, I would have happily returned the same energy. Instead, I was constantly interrupted, accused of being difficult, and faced with a manager who weaponized personal matters to deflect accountability.
If you are not mature enough to take responsibility, treat customers with basic respect, and perform your duties professionally, perhaps managing a business is not the right...
