Taco Tuesday? Why yes, lets try the new Mexican restaurant near Publix.
Great atmosphere. Not your typical Mexican decor. Clean open feel with modern yet pleasing touches. The required modern Mexican musica playing in the background. I must for any Mexican restaurant.
Menu is simple and filled with great taco selections. The food over all is an elevated Mexican flare. A real nice change from the traditional Americanized Mexican food.
The staff is excellent and very friendly ensuring your experience is enjoyable. They provided insight into their specialty entrees. Which convinced me to broaden my palate.
The complementary tortilla chips are light with a house seasoning that added nicely to the chips. The are served with a mild and spicy salsa.
My wife had the taco sampler and every taco was delicious. Her favorite was the Mex-Baja Taco (fish).
The hostess sold me on the Chile En Nogada which is a stuffed poblano pepper. It was an interesting departure from my traditional chimichanga. I enjoyed the mix of pork and beef with the nuts, apple, peach, and pear blended into the stuffed poblano.
We also sampled the Smoky Tlacoyos and these were excellent with the house sauce on them. Be prepared to scrape up the remnants with a fork.
Remember to ask about the desserts. Well, the staff will remind you. Leave room. We had the churros, and I had the chocolate torte. Both of these were excellent. I would definitely get the chocolate torte again.
We will definitely be back. It will surely be one of our favorite...
Read moreMy New Favorite spot Meche Cocina Mexican is a Must-Try! Hey everyone, you've got to check out Meche Cocina Mexicana. I just went last night. First off, the place itself is gorgeous. It's set in this beautiful area with amazing lake views. But let's talk food, because that's where they really shine. They're all about fresh ingredients, and you can totally taste it. I tried their Tlacoyos, a cool dish from Mexico City, and it came with this super fresh swordfish. Seriously, it was so good and bright. And the Tuna Tostadas? The tuna was incredibly fresh, so rich with flavors. Then there were the Mole Enchiladas. This isn't your average mole. It's homemade, and you just don't find that kind of rich, complex flavor at other Mexican spots. It's seriously next-level and just tasted so authentic. The cocktails are another Must-Try! And it's not just the food and views. The staff and even the owners are super friendly and helpful. They really make you feel welcome, which just adds to the whole good vibe. Honestly, if you're looking for fantastic, fresh Mexican food, a beautiful setting, and great people, you absolutely have to swing by Meche Cocina Mexicana. You...
Read moreGorgeous view, delicious and wonderful service. I visited Meche during lunch with two friends. The restaurant as shown in the pictures is spacious, great comfy chairs and elegant. We had the view of the pond with water feature and it was awesome!
Our server was Miguel C and he was very kind and recommended several items in menu and was very attentive of our table. He stopped by multiple times to make sure we were doing well and kept and eye on our drinks to be refilled in time.
They serve white and yellow seasoned tortilla chips that were so incredible and two types of salsa that were good but I liked the green one that was not too spicy and had a wonderful cilantro taste. I ordered the lunch chicken fajitas with corn tortillas instead of flour. They were very flavorful and the rice and beans that came with it were delicious as well. My friend had the carnitas tacos and said they were amazing.
The restaurant is very nicely decorated and was very clean. The outside sitting for fall or spring will be great specially sitting by the water side or with kids that could be more entertained outside.
I look forward to returning to this restaurant with my hubby...
