Bagger Dave's Burger Tavern - Cascade — Restaurant in Cascade Charter Township

Love the food. Fresh & made with care. But the service we received from both waitstaff & manager will keep my family from ever returning to this location. My husband wanted to try both types of fries with his meal, the waiter said he could do that--just neglected to tell him it would be another $7 to do so. That's almost as much as his $10 burger! When I asked the waiter about it, he basically told me that it was my fault for not understanding what he failed to explain. Wow, what an interesting way of giving great customer service! The manager basically said the exact same thing to me, but agreed to "not argue with me" due to the holidays. Well...it's clear the LACK of customer service starts at the top. The waiter had already brought me the wrong drink, made me wait a lengthy amount of time for my bill while chatting up another waiter on a dead Friday night with hardly any other customers in the restaurant and then throws me attitude for trying to get away with inflating my bill to get a larger tip. Wanted to edit my first review to say i just ate there again, and by golly, they did it again!! Best freaking meal i've had since the last time we ate here!! End of edit// My fiance and I are staying at the Baymont directly behind this place, so we thought "well, hopefully it's good"... IT WAS DELICIOUS!! My mushroom and Swiss burger was the best I've ever had (Hotdogs Plus in Niles formerly had that title)! It tasted like the brioche bun (always delicious) was toasted on the grill with butter, and the cheese and shrooms were melted together like Spongebob and Squidward, it was GLORIOUS. And I need to express how well done the fried pickles were: everyone else just breads a giant hunk of sphere and calls it day; then you end up with a big chunk of hot pickle in your mouth with ranch, and the breading always comes off in one sheet - no bueno. Bagger Dave's has Fried Pickle Chips DONE RIGHT! Holy moly were they amazing! Perfectly crispy, breaded to perfection (not to much breading), and paired with some classic ranch dressing they were INCREDIBLE. I've had Bagger Dave's burgers about once every 4-6 weeks for over a year and a half. The burger is perfect, every time. Additionally, the burger itself is the best burger you can get, in my opinion. The seasoning etc is great, of course, but there is something about the way the grill this thing that the consistency is beyond perfect, especially if you like medium rare meat. And the flavour of the meat itself is the best burger meat I have ever had. I mention how often and how long I've tried their burgers because during that time I'd expect maybe to get a sub-average burger, but it has not happened. Very, very highly recommended. Another thing, which I'm sure is odd to point out, is their Santa Fe sauce that you can get with their fries. Also an absolute favourite.
