"They are just kids" - MOD.

One week ago on 5/20/22 I ordered two subs. We paid, waited, and were handed both subs in a bag. Walked outside, got in the car, one of the employees comes out and approaches car to say, "We gave you the wrong sub" switched it out.

We left and got home discovering the 2nd sub was completely wrong. I called and informed them of the error, then I went back to get the new sub. They again made the wrong sub and now I had to wait longer.

Now that we have had multiple mistakes, I asked the employee what they did with the sandwich they originally took back. His response was he threw it out. Knowing it was only 20 minutes ago, I asked to see the sandwhich. The MOD looked through each trash can, and as I thought the employee lied to me. Someone right here in Castle Rock, was provided and ate the sandwich that we took into the car and opened.

Extremely unsanitary for the sub to not have been thrown out. All the MOD could say is "they are just kids". Yes, they are kids... but they work in a food business and sanitary safety should be top of mind. Obviously the leadership at this location is very inadequate and let's the kids do whatever they want.

If you don't mind me putting my face in your food, continue to eat here. I will never go back to this location given how wrong this transaction went.

Also, icing in the cake... when I had first walked in to order the subs originally, they all were saying how Jersey Mike's is better than firehouse - We actually talked about it with them.

After calling a week ago and sharing feedback with corporate asking the franchise owner calls, crickets.

This Firehouse is getting 1 star only because the subs are well made. The problem here is that i noticed a difference in the subs between my local Firehouse Subs in the Springs and this one ,which i pick up on my way to work in the evening.

What's the difference you ask? I noticed that the medium subs I always order from here seemed a bit smaller than my local store. Well i asked the counter person how big the medium sub is supposed to be....their answer?.....6 inches. NO NO NO! Right on the website when ordering you have the small (no size given but around 4 inches is the norm) the medium which CLEARLY states 7 to 8 inches and the large is 11 to 12 inches. I even showed the size selection right on my phone to the counter person. I also called my local store and they confirmed the medium size is 7 to 8 inches.

These stores are franchised owned so the owner must be responsible for this. Anybody remember the Subway lawsuit over the size disparity? And this isn't a minor mistake over the length of the bread. I've asked twice now and gotten the same answer from 2 different crews working there that a medium is 6 inches contrary to the website which is correct. There are laws against false advertising and this store is KNOWINGLY delivering less than advertised. Do in need to get corporate involved or seek legal remedies? The owner better fix this as no legal disclaimer on the website covers this. And if the owner responds to this review, the only thing he'd better say is "sorry, we're going to correct...

I really hate to write a negative review of Firehouse. I like the food. I’ve eaten at many and recognize that getting firehouse is not “fast food”. It takes 15-20 min. Today I walk in with only one patron ahead of me. I thought, good this will be fast. I brought my grandson because he wanted the kids meal with a hat. After ordering they had about 3-4 other customers. It took the normal 15 min for the lady before me. I noticed that 3 of the 4 workers (including the manager) were standing around. Thinking the one worker was working on my order, I waited patiently. Nope, the young kid was working on the teen girls order. After 35-40 min, my order was called. I saw the small bag and asked about the gate for the kids meal, the kid just pointed to the top of the drink fridge, like I was to assume I’m supposed to get this as part of the kids meal. Frustrated I left as my wife was waiting for food. Once I got home I noticed that one of the kids meals only had the sandwich and no treat. Disappointed that only one grand kid got the treat. I like the food. I just won’t wait 35-40 min for it and only get half my food. The manager is responsible for allowing lazy work. Please up your game.
